(answered) discussion of medications allowed in ADD?

I found this site in a google search for information about the action of gabapentin on GABA, and it brought me to a great Bluelight thread with detailed chemistry. The OP was asking about something that interests me, which is replacing medications with natural supplementation.

So that leads me to want to ask a question here about the action of risperdal on bipolar mania. Is this kind of discussion (more a medication rather than a recreation drug) allowed in ADD? I'm trying to understand why risperdal calms my mixed-manic-depression state and whether I can address the issue in some natural way. The folks here seem very knowledgeable.

Yeah. Absolutely. Anywhere you're allowed to discuss drugs, medication is fine as well. Just a heads up that ADD is genuinely advanced, so don't be shocked if your thread gets moved. Then again it may not.

When no one responded here in the first 24 hours, I created a thread in "homeless" and it got moved to basic.

But yes, I am prepared for a high-level of discussion. I don't plan to UNDERSTAND everything I'm told but I DO plan to look up any topic as needed, and take notes, and think about it, and ask more questions, and do all those things that lead to enlightenment.
