Misc Disappointed with Modafinil

Hey, so I've been experimenting with modafinil for the past few weeks now, and while the effects have been mostly positive, I'm kind of surprised by the lack of wakefulness-enhancement that it's prescribed for. For example, if I wake up at 8:30 am and take a 200 mg tablet, I'll go back to sleep, and I don't feel jolted awake like I would from amphetamines. Am I just expecting too much from the online reports of it as a "wonder drug" or is it much more subtle?

All i can say is that Modafinil is much more peripheral stimulation than internal. Yes it's hard to get a decent sleep. Somehow the powder worked much better than the pills, depending on the s ource of course.
It's no 'wonder drug' it's just an alternative to stimulants; the concentration factor just isn't there though, but it should put a positive spin on everyday activities.
