That feeling of euphoria and warmth that i hear about i never got to experience, what am i doing wrong? thx in advance guys

sorry i forgot to mention i've only taken tramadol a long time ago (dunno if it is an opiate) and did nothing to me except make my nose itch

it honestly sounds like you dosed too high; scratching and itching all over is usually associated with higher end dosing/nodding.

try cutting back your dose by half and you might enjoy the experience a little more. oxy isn't as sedating as morphine based opiates, unless you're dosing high, and it can be stimulating on the lower side of dosing but definitely creates a sense of euphoria.

try 20-30mg and see how you feel. you can always titrate your dose up by 5-10mg every 45-60mins to get where you want to be. perhaps you're expecting too much from the oxy.

Some people don't get very good effects from codeine, tramadol, hydrocodone and oxycodone. Your individual metabolism can make these drugs not very effective. You might just be one of these people for whom they don't work very well. Taking more is not the answer as it could cause stronger side effects and dangers such as respiratory depression.

You might also be expecting too much. A lot of people don't appreciate the "high" of opioids (especially when they first try them) as it is very subtle. Consider yourself lucky, opioids are not worth the risks of addiction, physical dependence and overdose.

that's the thing guys i already started low at 20mg, i worked my way up to 60mg... well maybe opiates are not meant for me what can u do

thanks for the replies

What can you do? Not mess with opiates except in a pain management setting.

Yes, I believe you were looking for some sort of "slammed" high when the actual high is...subtle and blissful. You grow a taste to it.

Don't. Do not start this path.

holy shit i swallowed the 10mg powder and had the best high of my life.. thx ill try to lay off this shit for a while, only weed for me

I honestly never found oxycodone to be that great either. I have always preferred morphine and hydromorphone over oxy as i find they are more euphoric and better for treating pain as well. Also the high from opioids can be underwhelming to some people as it is not really in your face like amphetamines, cocaine or MDMA. It is subtle and relaxing and sometimes it can take awile to appreciate that kind of high. Oxycodone is not very sedating for many people either.

You should consider yourself lucky if you never get into taking opiates regularly in my opinion atleast :\

totally agree, i also found out that oxycodone isn't worth for me AT ALL, the high is ok but the withdrawal sucks, with 20mg i couldnt get out of bed for almost 2 days, i would refuse without thinking twice if offered free to me

I always liked Oxycodone the best, but ive never tried oxymorphone

try smoking weed

Those are some of the symptoms of withdrawal. Sweating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, extreme restlessness and panic attacks are other symptoms. Everyone varies somewhat in the withdrawal symptoms they get and chances are if you have a physical aliment or a psychiatric disorder to begin with withdrawal will make it worse. Stomach problems like cramps, diarrhea and nausea as well as mood swings are the worst symptoms i get.

Out of the stronger opiates/opioids i found oxycodone to be the least addictive in terms of physical dependance. I had to use pretty heavily for 3 months to get mild withdrawals. Granted that was the first time i ever got withdrawals so that could have something to do with it. I never got withdrawals from oxy that where anywhere near as bad as morphine, dilaudid or fentanyl withdrawals.

Not everyone likes how opiates make them feel. At first.

I used to hate opiates, they were never my thing. I just felt odd and when they were off I'd sleep a lot. I preferred MDMA when I was a freshmen in high school then switched to cocaine and eventually crystal. It wasn't until the last few years that opiates became the only drug I like, to the exclusion of all others.

In my experience they're not that great until you're used to them. And that's not worth it. I wouldn't mess with something that you don't know very much about. And to feel withdrawals you would need to be doing oxycodone daily for at least weeks, but most likely months. I believe I was on the 80s for 3 months before I realized I couldn't stop without getting sick.

I'm not a big fan of oxy either and I never understood why it's as popular as it is, I much prefer hydrocodone and maybe even kratom. It sucks that oxy is the only thing I have access to where I live.

I have tried all major opioids, hydrocodone, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydromorphone, fentanyl, etc. I like the 30mg IR oxycodone the best, the ER dont control my pain very well, i have been taking opioids for about 4 years now. I take 120 30mg oxycodone, 90 10mg valium, and 90 350mg soma a month. that seems to work the best for me. like others said try lowering your dose, you can always take more but not less. but as my uncle always said as he busted meds out, "it's better to overdose than underdose" <--- lmao @ that quote. god rest his soul, it was the death of him. good luck friend and all other fellow BL'ers.
