I found a site which exports various ayahuasca plants from the amazon. No sourcing of couuuurse! :-)
They offer all a few other psycotria species which are hard to find info on... p. Colorata, p. Cartaginensis and p. Brachypoda. I found that cartaginensis and brachypoda are more so sedtive, perhaps these aren't used in aya...the colorata is active I read I'm pretty sure. Curious if anynes got expetiemce withregards to dosage or qualitative variation in effects from the traditional viridis.

Also, Chaliponga, d. Cabrerana....anyone work with this one? Higher 5 meO content, fascinating

And then b. Caapi Leaves...? Anyone tried these in an aya brew..? Reportedly higher in harmaline than vine...

Also any other ayahuasca additive plants I am very interested in learning about....I know sometimes small amounts of tropane alk plants are added. But i'm most interested in the more obscure Maoi sources, dmt sources, as well as other plants added for unique properties.

Thanks

Come on you fuckers lol
I know somebodys got exp with aya brewing...and I know you fellow drug nerds would be hip to understanding potential variations on the brew....somebody has to at least have exp it Chaliponga.... hook it up with the info!

I've had brews with Diplopterys cabrerana and Psychotria viridis, and I prefer the brews I had with Diplopterys cabrerana. I can't remember where I read it - maybe the DMT nexus - but I know that it's a contentious issue as to whether Diplopterys cabrerana contains 5-meo-DMT, with some people saying it does (does Ott mention this in Pharmacotheon? I think I remember one of the analyses suggesting that he found 5-meo-DMT in his samples) and others saying it doesn't.

It seems likely that the alkaloid content of 5-meo-DMT in Diplopterys cabrerana is dependant on where it is obtained and how it is grown. I've also read from some people that it is present, but in negligible amounts.

As for Ayahuasca admixtures, I've had brews that contained Brunfelsia grandiflora and also one with a species of Brugmansia. I found these brews to be more disorientating with a longer action while increasing visual aspects. The Brunfelsia brew was perhaps my favourite - it added another dimension that wasn't too mush of deliriant in its effects, in fact the experiences with this admixture were probably my favourite of all time.

Erowid doesn't have much information on Brunfelsia glandiflora, but here is some related reading: http://www.entheology.org/edoto/anmviewer.asp?a=32

Thanks for the insight and link!
I'm intrigued now with the brunfelsia, that is one of the leaves offered by my source. Won't rush in obviously, but I'm interested to try and find more info. So you said it wasn,t overly deleriant-like in effect..? Was it simply a low dose, or do the alkaloids preset in brunfelsia vary significantly from those in other atropine-scopolamime dominant solanaceaes.?

I've never taken Ayahuasca but friends of mine who have in legal religious ceremonies in certain South American countries where it's legal to do this have told me how they like Ayahuasca mixtures that contain datura.

^ interesting as well....
I remember reading some brews that called for a single leaf of brugmansia or another tropane plant. Fascinating the catalytic potentials...they said it made the visions brighter I'd read. Perhaps such a low dose isnt really deleriant-like n nature at all. What about the chemistry of maois and antichoinergics though...? Is that a safe combo in sizeale amounts?
