I'm tired of the bad wrap that diphenhydramine (anti-histamine as well as sleeping pill) gets. I was habitually tripping on this drug fr a while before I actually got to see other peoplez reaction to it, and I honestly don't understand the negative about it. I mean, you people are generally negative, but don't take it out on a beautiful drug that is diphenhydramine.
When I'm doped up on this shit, everything is beautiful and everything is free. Seductive euphoria.
And for those of you who alwayz want to make ignorant commentz claiming "jerk off'z," "ass hole," and "dick head," your free to do so, but just realize that your only proving my point.
Give diphenhydramine a chance and don't let others tell you the drug is fucked up.

just curious, have the above posters ever tried to 'trip' off benedryl??? not that I have.
 
Personally I've never tried diphenhydramine but.....
Don't make fun of the usage of a drug just because it's legal or OTC. That is just straight fucking stupid. If your going to make fun of it make fun of it's actual QUALITIES AS A DRUG not over it's legal status. It just makes you look dumb. Now after stating that, I have to say I think diphenhydramine does sound pretty dumb from how people describe it's effects. But I think it might be the start of something interesting, as I don't believe diphenhydramine fits into any of the typical psychedelic drug categories (disassociatives, phenethylamines, tryptamines). Yeah there's some indoles (LSD) and there's Salvia, but where does diphenhydramine fit?
And I think most recreational antihistamine overdoses are from the chlorophenawhatsitamine maleate in Coricidin. I've never heard of a diphenhydramine overdose, at least not from recreational usage, maybe if someone's doing their "cry for help" suicide attempt.

Hey (ass) Munch,i have a question,ive done that shit before,NOT to get high from it but because i heard it potentiates the effects of opiates,but just for future reference,and so i can have an educated opinion on its recreational potential,what dose is required to 'trip' of it?

I mean, can you really even compare the anti-cholergenic high of dramamine to something as beautiful as acid or shrooms? Can you just not get acid?

I know I'm not Munch, but from what I've read, the dose is anywhere from 12 25mg caps on up. I have never intentionally tripped on this stuff, but have accidentally taken to much in an attempt to sleep. I personally find the effects VERY uncomfortable, and would never intentionally do this. The only cool effect is when smoke appears to be rising off of any white surface (paper etc.). I wouldn't recommend this as a viable way to trip, but to each his own.

I recall reading somewhere that the anticholinergics are considered true Hallucinogens unlike acid, shroom etc.. which are considered psychedelics.

I have mixed feelings about this drug. I've done it recreationaly twice. It was somewhat enjoyable. I think it's worth trying once. I liked how it enhanced music for me. The visuals are real as hell too. I kept telling myself all the stuff i kept seeing was not real. But i could not help jumping back from the spiders and lizards that occasionaly appeared on my ceiling. not scary, but i just kept getting fooled by the visuals.
