Diphenhydramine: how's it treat your stomach?

Hello all,
This question may have been answered previously. If so please close (but please point me to the answer!). I'm about to take 24 Benadryl (600mg) for the first time. Should I expect upset stomach/possible puking? Hoping not, but let me know! Thanks

maybe a little discomfort/slight nausea thats all. oh and there's also the the delirium...

May I ask what you expecting to get out of this? Make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

I've only tripped on diphen once (accidentally - was in extreme heroin + paroxetine w/d and ate a whole pack of Nytol trying to get some sleep without realising it was diphen or even what diphen does other than make you drowsy). Had no worse stomach problems than I had already but it has other physical effects which are just plain nasty - RLS worse than you'd ever believe possible only affecting your whole body, cottonmouth from hell and so on. However, the actual "trip" is so nightmarish and indestinguishable from reality I barely noticed how vile it felt physically till the next day when it finally started to wear off. I'd strongly recommend rethinking your plan of taking it at all but if you really must then a bit of gutache is the least of it's shitty effects.

My biggest concern with high dose diphenhydramine is that its result is delirium and people in delirium are a hazard to self and others. I hope you have a baby sitter around to keep you from playing in traffic or otherwise being unsafe.

I don't think diphen usually causes stomach problems unless someones stomach is sensitive to some of the excipient ingredients. Diphen is a weak antiemetic. Stomach problems seem even a little less likely because of that.

Thanks for the input all. I'm over the peak now. The peak of the trip was quite terrifying, but my biggest issue is the severe motor impairment it causes. Even performing the simplest tasks leads to the feeling of passing out, which also causes the muscles being used to spasm. It is quite scary to think that even the simplest movements could cause a loss of consciousness. For example, even now I don't think I could raise a glass of water to my mouth to take a drink.

Come to think of it, I'd say that was the defining nature of the trip: a constant battle to stay conscious. It is usual to fight off sleep when you're tired, or you've just eaten a big meal or whatever. But having to fight off sleep because you're executing a simple controlled movement is just frightening. Needless to say, I did not move around much. Easier to stay awake that way.

This is a substance I definitely won't be using again. One time was too many.

If the nature of the trip surprised you, I'm guessing you didn't do too much research. Good 'ol diphen is one of the few substances I am truly too scared(some may call it smart) to trip on.

I think diphen is worse, but long ago I once ignored warnings and took 3500mg of Soma. I felt like my bones were made out of congealed electricity and my motor control/twitching would have made a late-stage parkinsons patient look smooth. If not the worst, it was one of the top 3 worst experiences of my life.

Does this Benadryl contain DXM and Diphenhydramine or just Diphenhydramine?
