diphenhydramine = GHB alternative???

ok...my family and i are going on a cruise near the end of this month...my mom (being a nurse and all) got a bottle of

Diphenhydramine
Hydrochloride
Capsules, USP
25mg
100 Capsules

for my brother who gets motion sickness...now i know this stuff is in Benadryl but i have been seeing GHB alternatives such as Solar Water and Serenity with this stuff as the active ingredient...i have also read reports of people tripping off dramamine...can anybody out there tell me if this stuff feels anything like real GHB???

no dude....diphenhydramine is the stuff they put in sominex and other things to put you to sleep and calm you down....although you can fall asleep from ghb, diphenhydramine is crap when you compare it to ghb's awesome psychoactive and aphrodesiacal powerz. Definately not a substitute for the real thing.

diphenhydramine HCl (Benadryl) and its 2-chlorotheophyllinate salt, dimenhydrinate (Dramamine or Gravol) is an antihistamine which is so dirty it affects the entire body's histamine system (unlike prescription antihistamines like Allegra) and is also anticholinergic.
with a small overdose you will feel heavy and tired; not sedated, really, just tired. if you do a lot, you will have very real hallucinations and a lot of trouble moving.
but unfortunately those hallucinations are NOT FUN. i mean, you think, how can a hallucination not be fun? well.. just look at your desk, and think about how trippy it would be if there was an empty coke can on it. not very trippy, right? the hallucinations just aren't interesting.
it does fight nausea (in normal doses), which can be useful sometimes, but be very careful what you mix it with. it combines ok with K, but alcohol or g would be extremely dangerous.
there is no way it would be useful as a GHB alternative. no way at all. its basically just good if you use it as directed for nausea and possibly mild insomnia.
at least it's cheap... i once picked up a 100 count bottle of 50 mg dimenhydrinate tabs for $1.99. and used it legitimately.
