Dimenhydriate and Diphenhydramine trip?

ok so ive done both of these to trip and noticed no difference.

now i just wanted to know if dimenhydrinate wil make you tired like diphenhydramine?

dose it matter which one i trip one? wil they both make me tired?

i plan on doing one of these tommorow and just wanted to know which one ill be able to stay up longer on. Thanks :)
 
Well Dimenhydrinate is the 8-chlorotheophyllinate salt of diphenhydramine, so it would be pretty similar if not basically identical, dimenhydrinate has about half the sedative potential of diphenhydramine so i'de assume this would theoretically make you less drowsy. I don't have a lot of info to offer when it comes to higher doses of dramamine or benadryl as i generally only use it as a opiate potentiator or to sleep, so i don't dabble with anything over 125mg dph or 200mg dimenhydrinate. may i ask though, why is this categorized under opiates?
 
The usage of the term "trip" in your title is optimistic :). Remember these drugs are classified as deleriants and be sure that is what you are looking for.

The dimenhydrinate salt dissociates into diphenhydramine and a stimulant which I don't remember the name of. Dimenhydrinate is roughly half as potent by mass as diphenhydramine (as half it' mass is the stimulant) and will last longer as it needs to separate before becoming active. I suppose the large amounts of the stimulant will effect the trip as well.

As this is a psychedelic question I'll send it over to Psychedelic Discussion for you but will mention that dextromethorphan is generally considered a much better choice as a psychoactive drug (dissociative) with generally the same OTC availability.

They will both make you tired, yes. And the "trip" off that class of drugs is nothing like an actual psychedelic trip, don't let anybody tell you differently :)
