so i have opiate experience, and got ahold of 4, 4mg dilaudid. i ussually use oxy oraly any where from 45-60mg, have used opana intranasaly as well, with 20mg getting me floored. most recently i used 50mg of oral hydrocodone, via cwe, after a three week break from all opiates and got pretty high, this was 3 days ago. today i have plugged one 4mg dilaudid and snorted two for a total of 12mg. im not very satisfied with my high and it has been around 1 hour since i started dosing, plugged the two snorted in an hours time what gives is it just the low BA of hydromorphone when it is used any way other than iv? thanks!

if I were you then I would stick to snorting them, at 50% BA. Rectal BA isn't very impressive. You can create a solution of saline and hydromorphone with a 1mL syringe with no needle and then snort the liquid. You can get away with using barely any saline or water if you don't have saline, hydromorphone is highly soluble up to 333mg/mL so you can easily use a 1/4th mL or 1/4th cc (mL = cc)

You might be expecting too much from hydromorphone too. Not everyone reacts the same to all opiates. Some people find it to be very strong and euphoric, some find it to be kind of weak. I wouldn't jump straight to IV just to make something live up to it's name. If you're not feeling good from a decent amount of snorted dillys I would stick to opiates you know work well. Hydrocodone is good because you take it orally, you don't need to mess with other ROAs which I think is extremely convenient and a really good thing. Too bad it's weak. Oh well, there's always Oxycodone too which has a great oral BA too.

I would second that advice.

Hydromorphone is short acting, has poor BA via all convenient ROAs, and on top of all that, has a large price premium because the IV opiate users go crazy for the stuff.

thanks so much for the quick reply, i agree snorting was the way to go, i ended up snorting the fourth one as well and finnaly got a decent high, at about +2.5 hours and a nod at 3.5-4. 16mg was way to expensive for this to be cost effective, ill just stick to my oral oxy when i can get it. which is good bevause that is not that often. dillys are not all its hyped up to be and believe me i wil never touch a needle ive seen to many train wrecks first hand.

No problem mate.

Glad to hear you're smart enough to not shoot up. I will say that hydromorphone becomes a whole nother beast through the IV ROA, but whether its worth the risks of intravenous drug abuse, I am going to conclude with no, it's not worth it.

I have seen many train wrecks first hand involving people who would never touch the needle. Especially with oxy.

Ah the dilly conundrum- Why is something 6-8 times as strong as morphine so ineffective when it comes to what you are seeking? That is the ?. What are you seeking? You are not using it for analgesia but for recreation. Unfortunately, this med is not of much recreational use, or getting a buzz in pill form. With a BA below 50% with every ROA except IV, it just isn't going to yield the effect you desire. If you continue to attempt to get a D high w/o IV you may OD or take enough to give you the opposite of what you want, illness. You answered your own question as did the previous replies. I am not advocating shooting up. There in lies dangers I am sure you are aware of but I will not preach. Just the facts.

Hydromorph is fine intranasal, just up the dose. Even with a low tolerance, 4mgs barely got me off intranasally, I tried plugging it before too, and fuckall happened. I was an oxy user for a year before I tried dilauded and when I started snorting the shit I went nuts for it, the stuff is serious business.
