First off let me start by saying whats up have always read over bluelight in the past for help and pointers finally registered because I need some help regarding opuate withdrawals. I had a relapse recently which expanded over a month of diladid use. Ibwas using the needle sadly started doing a half a day and got up to about one and a half a day recently. Some days just halves but what I am asking is this will be my first time. Wd off of diladids I was using the 8mg pills. I dont know what to except I have just read that users go into faster wd and they are stronger than morphine etc. It has been 8 hours since my last shot 4mg half and I feel fine but usually experience symptoms around 12 hours. My main question is what can help and how long will the wd period last?

Well, you have not been using that long (only a month) so it shouldn't be too intense.
Also; hydromorphone withdrawals do not last that long, You should be feeling better within 5 days or so.
I would compare it to heroin withdrawals as far as the withdrawal feelings.
You could do a quick taper or you could go cold turkey.
What would help would be blood pressure medicine a little bit of benzos, gabapentin, loperamide and maybe some kratom.
It's going to be no walk in the park but it will not lost long, just try to drink water, and keep your mind busy.
Just don't give up and keep us updated. I am currently trying to detox off IV heroin - So I know what you're going thru.

This is sadly my third time withdrawing off of opiates. I actually read your post and wish you the best of luck man. I actually posted this thread yesterday just moved it here so I am currently almost 24 hours in. Nothing too bad besides the runs, chills and nausea. Just straight cold turkey like the other times. It has been longer than a month of use my time is all messed up.

Yea man not trying to lose my girl that is my main motivation and wanting to get right. Sadly she has no idea she knows about my past but had to lie and said I have been clean lucky that I am in the process of switching jobs so I have a week off just have to hide it from her which sucks. I could have came clean a few days ago when she asked me but I was high and decided to lie and she is one of those types that if she finds out I am lying it will be worse. I know I shouldnt have but that is the position I put myself in. She doesnt drink or even smoke and never witnessed or has been around an addict so she doesnt know anything about withdrawals so I had to tell her I am just sick. I just hit the 24 hour mark and am feeling extremely shitty. The mental part is affecting me more than the physical and experiencing vomiting now still followed by the runs and sweats finally.
I do feel better knowing you are going through the same thing but much worse I wish you the best I keep reading your thread stay strong man keep us all updated we can make it through just get to that 5 day mark and everything will start improving

I recently got off of doing 5-8 20-32mg shots of hydromorphone daily. I switched to Suboxone but have withdrawn from this amount quite a few times last year. If you feel fine 8 hours out it probably won't be that bad but you wont feel them really until 16-24 hours in and they are more intense than morphine but the dose you were shooting (8mgs) is equal to approximately 40mgs of morphine which would equal about 20mgs of diacetylmorphine (heroin), expect all the typical withdrawal symptoms though. It's different for everyone some people get hit harder than others but the most important thing is to be strong and not wallow in expectations of the withdrawals being horrible because they become much worse that way. My sister told me to "quit being a little bitch" and deal with it and this was my mantra when it could be but it helped so much. As addicts we can tend to amplify situations mentally and it could always be so much worse, in my case and in yours. Just be strong and exercise patience and you will get through it just fine. Much easier said than done but you can absolutely do it.

If that is true, you should be okay - I will be coming off of a 500mg - 750mg IV heroin habit and 6 - 8mg xanax habit.
I am there for you man.. I will keep you updated and please do the same. We can do this.
