Opioids Dihydrocodeine overdose

Does dihydrocodeine have a ceiling effect like codeine? Also if an overdose of DHC were to occur would you die due to respiratory deppression or pulmonary oedema? I know both can happen but I want to know if the death would be caused like the death by codeine overdose or like the death of a heroin overdose.

I'm not trying to kill myself or others. I want to know because of tolerance related stuff and I can't think straight and am nodding out at the moment so I won't explain in detail until I'm in my normal state again.
 
I've never heard of opiates causing pulmonary oedema, how would they result in massive fluid build up in the lungs? It's completely possible that i just haven't heard of this happening, so I'm genuinely interested. Otherwise my guess is on respiratory depression.
 
DHC does not have a ceiling dosage similar to codeine. An overdose would likely result in respiratory depression resulting in pulmonary edema.

If you're worried about overdosing, ask someone to come sit with you so they can call for emergency services if you become unresponsive.
