i realize that i'm bumping an old thread, and i'm sorry amapola isn't here to contribute, but since this thread on dhc is still open i wanted to ask some questions and expand on dhc extraction and/or isolation. here's the background: in japan dhc is sold otc, but it is chock full of other compounds that i'm not interested in. for example, the simplest product (i.e. least amount of added compounds) comes with BRON- it adds ephedrine and caffeine in addition to one or two others. most other forms of otc products with dhc include acetaminophen as well as chlorpheniramine maleate, bromhexine hydrochloride, noscapine and maleate carbinoxamine to name a few.
although some of the added compounds can work as potentiators, i'm really only interested in the dhc. the others add fogginess or other side effects that make my experience less pleasant and to my knowledge they are all water soluble so a cwe won't work. so, without investing in hundreds of dollars in chemistry supplies or without making something as vile as krokodil, is there any way to extract or convert dhc. it's a long way until poppy season so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
