Digital vs. Classic volcano

I searched and surprisingly I couldn't find anything. Please direct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, I have a vapor bros, which is excellent, and I'm now looking into buying a volcano in order to become to true campus Ganja King. I'm probably going to get the classic, but I'd thought I'd ask: Is there really any reason to go digital over classic? I don't see the point in needing to monitor the temp to within 2.5 degrees Celsius.

Also, I'm assuming the easy connectors or whatever they're called are the way to go as you get 5 bags anyway. Is there really any advantage to going with the regular connector besides making your own bags? The Volcano website lists it as being "more hygienic" which I don't understand, considering that if I go with the easy connector I'll have 5 bags so everyone will be able to have their own unless it's a big party...?

Input appreciated, thanks.

neither of them is worth the money. the volcano is simply a heating element with a tactile controller and an air pump. see:

notice how it looks immensely less valuable than it's priced at without that ostentatious brushed metal cover on it. i really hate to sound like a spokesperson for herbalaire, but it's really the only vapouriser worth the money. comparing the crucible/heating elements, the herbalaire's is more effective than the volcano's and since it's less complex as well it's not a pain in the ass to clean. mine has been working daily for about 3 years now. that should more than speak about it's durability. it's build quality is definitely not as good as the volcano's, but if you don't manhandle it then you're pretty much going to get the same damn thing for $300 less.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew Volcanos are massively overpriced to say the least, but I wasn't sure of any good alternatives. I'm going to look into the herbalaire.

Any input on the portable vaporizers?

The herbalaire is still pretty overpriced itself, I saw one in a store nearby for 330. My co-worker in the head shop I work in says that the Herbalaire ripped off this vaporizer: http://www.happyvappy.com/shop . I have one of these, I paid wholesale cost, so only 140 dollars. The only difference between the two is the herbalaire comes with a whip and a bag (useless), and a temperature knob (useless).

I just can't get my head around sucking vapor out of a bag...

I'm pretty happy with my Vapolution... cheap, compact and portable!

damn that does look similar 8o yeah the headshops mark up like a mufucka. i heard a few negative things about the vapir one, hence the need for a 3rd version of it i suppose.

thujone, while im not arguing the volcano's overpricedness, i thin a big part of buying one is the nostalgia behind it. would you not agree?

nostalgia? how does a volcano remind you of the days you used to smoke the weed? lol. i don't see much in it tbh, my buddy has one and we always just smoke at his place anyway. he doesn't even use it his damn self heh

go with the classic. fewer parts to malfunction = longer life.

it's worth the money in my opinion. but what is money anyway?

i think the word he was looking for is "novelty."
