Misc Differing levels of Perceived Stimulation at the Same Heart Rate. What's Up?

Hey Guys,

I'm not sure if this is the best section of the forums to ask this, but it had to go somewhere!

Last night I was using some Mephedrone for the first time in 8 months & I decided to try wearing my HRM which I only got fairly recently, out of curiosity. Anyway, I got to a point last night where I felt sketched out & overstimulated with my Heart Rate sitting around 95-105bpm sitting down & getting up to around 125-130bpm whilst standing & moving around. I gave the Meph a rest, only doing the occasionally cheeky line until I was feeling back to base. At times my heart rate would get down around 85bpm sitting still but still shoot back up to almost 130bpm initially when getting up & moving around.

The strange thing is, my heart rate dropped ever so slightly later but I suddenly felt absolutely comfortable around 90-100bpm resting & 115-125bpm standing up.

What would have been the difference that made me feel overstimulated & sketched out at first then appeared to get better. My guess is blood pressure...

You prob felt better because the benefits of the stim overtook the side effects. Thats always the case. The shit side effects, anxiey and sketched out feeling is always there, and the heart rate, especially in lower stim dosages for me, with all stims.

The secret is to get to a level where the euphoria negates the typical side effects, the sweet spot. Sounds like your dose was low, and you felt the side effects more as is usually the case, but with increasing your dosage you eventually crossed over to feeling good. Nothing physical, all mental, just anxiety and SNS stimulation. The fact that you felt better without a significant change in your heart rate makes me certain this is the reason in your case.

Not really clued up on Mepth but thats how it is with meth and coke. Meph is scary shit though, i wouldn't trust it.

Well, certainly sounds like a solid answer. I had a small amount tonight & I ended up similar but with what seemed trouble breathing & a dry mouth.

Long story short, I figured it was anxiety but it didn't go away, so 3 hours later assuming something was up I was checked over & told it was likely anxiety & some aspect of the drug I wasn't used to.

That was an hour ago & I'm alright but a bit on edge, eyes are still like saucers lol.

Now the Meph I have is quite a strong batch, so I'm going to go ahead & suggest my body isn't used to it & it's causing anxiety... In fact after 2 lines to start with, I hit me pretty hard... reminded me of the first time I bombed & was almost knocked off my feet, the difference being I had more euphoria that time.

So it would seem, as it's pretty potent, I'm getting strong side effects that would ordinarily be kept at bay by the Euphoria.

I'll just have to go real easy until I build up some tolerance again.

Not really sure about Meph specifically or have tried it myself, but the concepts explained in my last post should still all apply. But its also a Serotonin drug so that ads many more risks and considerations, like any previous MDMA usage and tolerance which would effect Meph.

However you seem to get strong side effects, with a proper dose, yet the euphoria is not enough to hide them.

With meth for example a proper good first dose will literally ensure i never not once even for a second notice any negative side effect or issue, or spare them anymore then 1-2 seconds of thought if i do. When everything is working properly and your dosage is right and you have considered things like tolerance and any other issues, the first proper dose should be almost 100% positive for the duration and seem to be side effect free.

I am assuming it should work similar with Meph. If your getting very noticeable or uncomfortable side effects from your first dose and you know its a decent dose and not very low for your tolerance levels, then something must be causing a problem, most likely tolerance or possibly the product itself?

The first dose wasn't uncomfortable, it was just very strong. Almost to the point of Pre-Ban when I first started using it.

I should probably do what I used to do back then & do lots of small lines rather than one or two big lines, will be less prone to taking that bit too much!

It also could have something to do with the fact I still had a rather iffy stomach following my comedown on Sunday, oh & the fact I think I had mild hypernatremia but I had plenty of salt so it shouldn't have affected things... but the stomach might of.
