That's not unheard of, I've had coke that had that same smell.. it's very distinctive, not something you can pass off as something else. This is typically because someone along the chain that had the coke before you, attempted to wash the coke with acetone. This is a step used to try and purify the coke/remove some of the adulterants. Many additives will dissolve in acetone, helping purifier the coke to make it better. But truth is, many people don't know how to do this correctly, and leave behind acetone residue.. and is why the smell is strong in the batch you have.
 
Logical…. I’m an OG coke dealer. But that goes back to the 70s and the 80s. So the concept is new to me. And a bit of an asshole move. Whoever did that to this batch certainly fucked it up. I wish I still had a digital hot plate. I would bet purity would’ve been less than 50%.
