Different brands of Oxycodone

Hello everyone. This is my first post, so bare with me:) I have been taking oxycodone for several years now (prescribed) And I have always gotten 30mg oxycodone. My pharmacy just recently changed brands and I can tell a difference in the strength. I have always gotten the "M blocks". They are light blue with an M and a box around the M. But 2 months ago my pharmacy gave me a smaller pill with a K 9 imprint. Is it just me or are the M blocks stronger? I feel like the m blocks are stronger... So just wondering if anyone has any experience with Roxy's (Oxycodone). Thanks!!

I may happily get naked with you, but I'll need some pictures first.

As for your question, can of worms. Most people (including me) will tell you the only difference between the generics is fillers and crap. The actual drug is the same. Some however will swear there is a difference. The FDA prohibits a difference, and these pills do undergo laboratory testing. It's likely a reverse-placebo effect.

Many people claim certain generics are weaker than others, but I never had any issues with the various brands of 30mg oxycodone. They all contain 30mg oxycodone, but the pill's binders/fillers can differ from brand to brand. This can effect the speed in which the pill breaks down, thus effecting time of absorption, etc.

It could simply be your tolerance is creeping upward, which coincidentally became noticeable around the time of your brand switch. If you take the m boxes now, can you notice a difference?

Yea, I would guess the tolerance part. The fact that you were forced to switch pill types was likely just a convenient thing for your mind to latch onto as the reason why you felt a weaker effect from 30mg of oxy.

Being used to a certain type and then being switched can really get your mind to play tricks on you.

Maybe you just weren't feeling all that great one day and as soon as you get the idea that it might be weaker your brain will then be convinced of it from that point on.

This kind of placebo effect happens to a LOT of opiate people, myself included.

The only difference is that your body will build a tolerance over time to the same dose of Oxy and it WILL get weaker. That will always happen with Oxy.

It is not possible to stay on the same dose for long periods of time without having to move up at some point do to tolerance.
