diff between ephedrine and pseudoephedrine

Well i am new to bluelight, as a registered person. I have been lurking these boards for a while and decided its about time i participated. And this is launched with a question. What is the difference between pseudoephedrine and ephedrine. I have lung congestion tablets that are 'all natural' that have ephedrine in them...but pseudoephedrine is certainly not natural. I know theyre both from ephedra. I get that in australia and its great ;-P

pseudoephedrine is natural. It is comes from the ephedra plant like ephedrine. It does not cross the blood brain barrier as well as ephedrine, hence it has less psychoactive effect. It still does the same things to your body as ephedrine though....which is why it is a good cold med.

do not try to use pseudoephedrine to get high. i dont know if that was in your mind or not, but dont.
i (like an idiot) ended up taking 12 30mg tablet-dealys over the course of 4 hours. Getting high was not my goal, i was trying to relieve the congestion in my nose, which i did. but in the process feeling very strange, had a 130bpm or so resting heart rate, that kinda scared me, and just felt out of it. 9 hours later, my pupils are still quite dialated.

Ephedrine or p-fed do about the same job in getting you "high" - they BOTH jack your heart rate up and BOTH give you that special type buzz you wish would go away..
