Knowledge is power!
You learn something new everyday!
Tell me something I don't know already!

We've all heard those sayings.

Here's the deal:

Post an interesting, bizarre, weird, fun, cool, disgusting, old or newly discovered fact about anything!
People, animals, science, history, whatever!

Maybe someone already knew about it.
Maybe not.

Guidelines:

1. Post a fact and make sure it is a fact
found on the Internet.
Be prepared to provide a link to proove it- if
you are challenged.

2. Keep this thread about this topic!
Please don't start having debates! Do that privately!

3. State if you :
A) Knew About It Already- quote the poster's name
and put a :) face.

B) Learned Something New Today- quote the poster's name
and put a 8o face.

C) Think It's Bull or Want To Learn More- quote the person's name
and put a 8) face.
They will then have to post the "Link Of Proof"
(LOP)

4) KEEP THIS THREAD ENJOYABLE!

Here we go!

DID YOU KNOW:

Tasmanian devils give birth to 20-30 young, each weighing approximately 0.18-0.24 grams. When the young are born, they move from the vagina to the pouch. Once inside the pouch, they each remain attached to a nipple for the next 100 days. Despite the large litter at birth, the female has only four nipples, so that no more than four young can survive birth. Those who do not procure a nipple are typically eaten by the mother.

Here's one for you guys:
Did you know that fungi were the first organisms to come to land?
They came to land 1.3 billion years ago and plants followed several hundred million years later.
Also, it has been proven that the largest organism on this planet is Armillaria Ostoyae. (if the mushroom colony is to be considered a single organism) It is said to be approximately 2,400 years old and covers an area of 2,200 acres with an estimated mass of around 600 tons.

If you're interested, you can learn more about this and oh so much more thanks to a talk with Paul Stamets on ted.com.

Also check out the theory of panspermia if you are a mushroom fan.

That is something I did not know!

Ehhh hemmmm..... Now I gotta be a downer.
Can we follow the "rules" as stated?^^^

This is how it's supposed to go:

*You write interesting fact.(You did)

* I reply- I quote you (I did), then I reply with one of three faces
as stated in the "rules". My reply is 8o

As it states, if I did not believe you or wanted more info,
I would quote you, then place a 8) as my reply. Then you would post the link.

If I already heard about that before, I would quote you,
then reply with a :)

The point of the "rules" is to start a game and keep it going until forever. It's beneficial to both the reader and the poster and encourages communication.

Despite my having to state the "rules", it is very interesting!
Thank you for contributing!

Can we try again with another post?
C'Mon.... You! Yes You! Don't be shy!
Post something! Let's get this party started!

Ahh, I guess I should have read those a little more before posting. I was a little tipsy when I wrote that earlier. My bad!
Maybe I'll try it again tomorrow if I can think of something substantial enough.

Did you know that when you're sweating, the odor doesn't actually come from the sweat but from bacterias which eat your sweat molecules and fart, thus the odor.

Did you know a sure fire cure for priaprism is to slam your erection in a drawer?

I've changed my mind. You get a 8)
I'd like to learn more.... I have an 11 yr. old son.
I've already had the "It's Common For That to Happen
In The Shower Chat".
