Did coke for the first time today - what happened?

Hi guys, I bought some coke today and used it for the very first time. I went to my dealer's place and he had me sample a couple of lines which made my gums very numb and had me feeling very nice within a couple of minutes after snorting a small line of it. I walked about two miles home, where I did some of my coke with a friend. I'd been walking which left me with a very dry mouth and tight muscles in my feet, as well as a slightly upset stomach.

This stuff smelled different and I noticed that my heart was beating rather fast. It was around 130 BPM when I measured it. It is about two hours later and my heart still feels a little fast and is around 100 BPM. I experienced a few little pains from breathing very deeply but didn't really feel any tightness or chest pain. The first couple of lines I did back at my dealer's house didn't seem to make my heart race. I felt a different feeling in my chest, but it didn't make me uncomfortable.

I have a bit of anxiety in general and the coke probably didn't help, but I really enjoyed the positive effects such as euphoria and the energy it gives you. I would really like to use more as I didn't use much and spent *snip, sorry, no prices* on a largely untouched gram, but I'm wondering if I should be seriously concerned or if I were just freaking out. I do have some Lorazepam that I could take, if that would help next time around.

Rapid heartbeat is a pretty common effect of strong stimulants like cocaine. Lorazepam or other benzos can be safely taken on the cocaine comedown.

Cocaine is supposed to elevate your heart rate. Pure cocaine doesn't last much more than an hour though, there's a good chance someone has cut it with other stimulants.

You could also have elevated heart rate because you're anxious about doing cocaine. 130-100BPM is not really a concern unless it continues for days and days, or if you're a huge buff athlete.

Thank you for the information. I figured this but after lurking on bluelight for a while to learn more, it left me very scared to use any more cocaine. This is certainly something I won't be making a habit of, but I wouldn't want to waste this stuff.

I think I will try small bumps instead of lines to see if this makes me feel any better. Any more input from other users is very appreciated, thanks.

Aw, I sort of suspected the whole "cut" thing. I still think there's a fair chance it was just anxiety/awareness of my heartbeat prolonging the higher-than-usual HR. My resting heart rate is usually in the 80s, and I'm a guy standing at 5'10" 140lb

I read an article the other day that said cocaine increases your risks of a heart attack by up to 27 times within the 2 hour period after administration.

As other have said, it's a stimulant so will naturally do that. Also, you have absolutely no idea what else that was cut with. Obviously something nasty that your heart didn't agree with.

Last time I did coke was about 2 years ago. It was about the 30th time in my life I was doing it. The coke was looking a little yellowish than usual. I snorted a small line alone in my room and immediately started shaking and my heart started racing. I started pacing around my living room like a maniac. It was the worst panic attack of my life, I thought I was gonna go into cardiac arrest. I drunk two shots of tequila to calm myself down but I guess the build up of cocaethylene didnt help. Three hours later I was more calm but still with racing heart and a LOT of anxiety. Then I suddenly started feeling like my heart was skipping beats or beating out of rythym. Started panicking again (remember this was three hours after snorting a single line) and called an ambulance and told them I was having a cocaine overdose. The ambulance came and took me to the hospital and they did an EKG told me the results where OK and then gave me some IV hydration and send me home. I got home and was still feeling a lot of anxiety and my heart still felt like it was out of rhythm and fluttering. I kept trying to sleep for 10-12 hours and couldn't. I turned the TV on and the first goddamn thing I heard on TV was about British singer Jessie J being hospitalized for arrhythmia at 18 years old. I thought this was a sign from God that I should go see a doctor. I went to the clinic, told them what happened and they gave me more exams and made me wait. They gave me a Valium and it was the first time in my life that I took a benzo. It felt amazing! Finally I was going to calm down. I went home and slept at last. A single line of cocaine kept me a wake for 36 hours (when I snorted it I was already awake for 12).

I didn't take any drugs besides the cocaine and the two shots of tequila. Also wasnt taking any medicine that could have interacted with the cocaine.

I think most of it was hypochondria but I haven't touched cocaine ever since and I don't plan on touching it again.
