Hi,
I understand that opiates + benzo-ish drugs should be done carefully due to the combination respiratory depression, however does anyone know if diclazepam/etizolam specifically can increase the histamine reaction caused by an opiate like codeine?
The reason I ask normally 2 cetirizine hydrochloride tablets are enough to stop the itching dead from my regular dose of codeine, however I dropped a diclazepam beforehand and I've been exceptionally itchy, actually spent quite a lot o time in a cold bath and draped in wet towels. In total I've now had 5 anti histamine tablets and it's now manageable. if it wasn't for the severity of the itching I wouldn't have taken that many as I'm not sure it's good for you.
I'm tempted to eat an etizolam in a few hours when the codeine has tapered down, but I'd like to clarify whether this is going to set off more horrible itching. Searching for histamine and etizolam seems to yield a few confusing results on google, enough to make me suspicious, although my attention span has dropped to nil atm. Can anyone clear this up for me?
