I ground up 30mg of generic Valium (3 10mg tabs) in a mortar and pestle, threw the powder inside of a metal cooker, though no cooking was done. I made a solution of about 10mL of Systane (for the PEG400 and propylene glycol; as well as some of the inactive ingredients), 4mL distilled water, and 2mL or less of 80 proof vodka (this is very stupid, I'm aware but did it anyways).
[Shit, I just remembered from another thread that diazepam can be absorbed by plastics and my shit is in an insulin syringe right now. Defeats the purpose of me asking my question, but I'm still interested in others' thoughts so I'll continue after I pump the loaded box.]
That went well... Definitely feel it more than any other IV diazepam. I had a vial for IM/IV, 5 mg/mL. I just fit 30mg (or what I could get out of the 30) in 60 units and drew up 30 more units of distilled water to thin it out and make it burn less. Oh yeah, feelin' it. I do have a pretty high benzo tolerance too, as I'm prescribed 3mg alprazolam ER bid (#60).
Back to the setup of my question(s): so I added 4-5 full eye droppers (no puns, a real eye dropper, not from a bottle of eye drops ha - I don't want any confusion due to my rhetoric) to the powder in the 1/2 OZ metal espresso shot glass. I then stirred that shit using the plunger of an insulin syringe (rubber side down) until it was a well-mixed suspension. I threw in half a a filter to roll cigarettes with in and it immediately soaked up the greenish blue solution and I hurried to get the needle in the cotton before the binders covered it. A 1 mL rig was quickly filled with ease. I pulled the needle out and the submerged filter appeared, covered with about a half centimeter of green gunk. Grabbed another rig and put it in the same filter through the tiny spot not covered in Shrek's diarrhea. Again, 100 units were easily drawn up. I had to add more of that concoction because there was just gunk left and I was trying to get the highest yield possible. I wound up with 4 full rigs, all translucent, and the last being almost colorless as well.
I locked in a .2 micron wheel filter to a 5mL syringe, backloaded the 4 rigs into it, and got some calluses while pushing the 4mL through. Then I pushed 10 mL of 80 proof vodka to wash everything through. I put it into the same metal shot glass (after I rinsed it of course) and set it under 2 desk lamps for about an hour. A significant portion had been evaporated, but to speed things up I grabbed a blow dryer and its was partly dry and partly goo after about 10 minutes.
I added enough of my mixture to dissolve everything and stirred using the plunger again. I drew the shit up and it was more of an opaque greenish blue, which is what I shot moments ago, although it became somewhat transparent after adding the 30 units of water.
So my question is: should I have completely dried out the wheel filtered diazepam solution and then maybe have done a couple washes to get rid of more of the impurities at the expense of a minuscule amount of Valium? Also, I don't have any pure PG and can't order anything off the Internet for a short while, hence the Systane, which worked rather well. Any comments on my procedure would be appreciated, especially tips for improvement. This was more of an experiment than jonsing for some type of fix, as injecting benzos is always disappointing. CaptainHeroin will say that a couple water soluble benzos ARE worth it.. just thought I'd make it so he wouldn't have to say that if he comments on this.
This is also my first post and would like to say some things to IV naiive people reading this. NEVER start, needle fever or needle fixation, whatever you want to call it, is a very real thing. But if you're going to do it anyways, and especially if you're going to inject pills, which I beg all of you not to, please use a wheel/micron filter; you'll be surprised at how much "cleaner" the resulting solution is as well as a significant decrease in volume, but lose a very small amount, if any with a wash (if you taste a drop... pure chemical taste). Also, you are almost guarenteed to make a (semi)major mistake at some point. I'm not talking about poking through a vein or missing a little bit of your shot, this wil DEFFINITELY happen in the early stages. I made my first "major" mistake the other day by injecting a 2.5mL cocktail of methylphenidate, dextroamphetamine, and alprazolam from a 3mL barrel with an attached 30G 1/2" needle. My veins were pretty constricted and much harder to hit, as they usually are after staying up for 3 days... Anyways, after I poked myself at least 7 times and had to pull out either from coagulated blood, misses, or slips, I said, "fuck it" and went for my favorite vein that i was letting heal. I'm used to short needles (5/16) and maybe this is part of the reason for my accidental arterial injection. I knew all of the signs of being in an artery but that was not in my mind at the time. I couldn't register, I pulled back pretty hard, yet I could feel I was in a vein by the way the neelde was sliding around (I must have not heard the second pop of passing through the vein). So I thought it might be a little clogged. I could also see a bubble at the bottom of the barrel and flowing blow (also bright red, rich with oxygen of course; goddamn why can't I apply my knowledge to myelf instead of only to others?). After so many failed attempts I just pushed to see, it stung a bit like ethonol for a second, but there was ethonol in there too so I didn't think anything of it. It was hard to start pushing the plunger, but once it got going it was easy. I was standing up and my right foot started tingling, but I had been geeting cramps and shit all day so I ignored it, plus I had a 3mL barrel in my so thought vein. Anyways, when its was all in there (couldn't reregister either, which also shouldn't be done but seeing the red flag is slightly euphoric in a psychotic way) I pull out and noticed a huge marble sized lump and a red rash about 3" in diameter below the injection site and it was completely numb. I didn't know what was going on!! At first I thought that maybe I pushed too hard and some of that shit caused nerve damage but I went online and sparadically started searching for reasons. It was definitely an arterial injection. Things to do: immediately put a lot of pressure on the sit if injection and raise your arm if you're capable. Do this for about 15-20 mins. An ice pack may help. There is a thread on here that has already gone over this and more, so I'll stop there.
I got lucky, after about an hour of being extremely uncomfortable and worried I had gotten about half of the feeling back below the crook of my elbow.
A little off track there but I thought it could help someone know what's going on with then. So after that little anecdote, all I have left to say is that nobody should inject pills, the binders and fillers are horrible for your body, and if you're going to do it anyways, please invest in some luer lock syringes and wheel filters, it is much better for your veins and body, but still very dangerous.
Safe (ab)using people...
P.S. I don't feel any of that diazepam anymore...
