Benzos Diazepam Dosage and Studying - Advice needed

Hi, I'm new to Bluelight, and joined firstly because the information relating to diazepam online is either a little too academic for my needs, or relating to overdose, withdrawal or recreational use.
I checked the FAQ relating to benzodiazapines, but they related mostly to withdrawals also. I also ran a search but most posts relating to diazepam were questioning how to use the drug to avoid cognitive function, not how to avoid affecting it.
If i am in any way wrong in posting this here, please advise me and I'll remove it - sorry in advance!
Basically, I'm studying (well, cramming) for a huge exam tomorrow and am constantly facing roadblocks of anxiety and panic everytime I realize how much content I need to learn in such a short period. The usual cognitive techniques to combat anxiety aren't quite cutting it in this situation. My GP prescribed me some generic diazepam (2mg) a few days ago after I suffered a panic attack during another exam. I don't have any experience with this drug other than a few isolated occasions in previous years where I was utilizing it purely to get to sleep after a night out and was unaware of the dosage as it was given to me by a friend. I want to take some so I can stop experiencing the anxiety symptoms which make it so difficult to retain information, but I'm worried it will make me too drowsy, hence doing more harm than good.
Is anybody with more experience able to advise me if the dose of 2mg is likely to make me too drowsy to get any work done, or effect my memory as higher doses are sometimes known to, considering I have little to no tolerance and am not currently using any other drugs or medications?
Also, is anybody able to advise me if a low dose of caffeine (coffee, not caffeine pills) would have any nasty effects if I had previously taken diazepam?
Thanks very much in advance for your help, and once again sorry if I am posting an inappropriate topic or posting in an incorrect area.

I wouldn't take more than 4mg if you want to get things done. I keep some vals around and I find that a low dose (between 2-5 mg) brings on slight mood elevation, along with that fluffy feeling that diazepam gives that you can't really describe unless you've taken it.

Caffeine is fine, but it really depends on your sensitivity. For me, 2 coffees is enough to ramp me up and any more than that just makes me fidgety.

thanks for your help. i'm quite sensitive (that sounds weird, but all kinds of drugs hit me hard, especially depressants) which was the reason for my concern. i think i'll just try 2mg.

Siberian ginseng is quite good, stimulates and deals with stress. And or with a can of Red Bull.

With the Benzos keep the dose low, or mental functioning will suffer. Any amnesia from taking them will also be unhelpful for studying.

I really don't think benzos are the best choice of drug for this task. If the dose is high enough to have effect, it is going to have some negative effects on cognition, and when trying to retain material, I can't see this as being helpful. Inhibition in general doesn't really seem conducive to learning. JMO, of course... if you can make it work, great.

Try maybe 2 2 mg tablets, 4 mg, should be enough to relax you a little without any tolerance, but not affect memory or cognitive function so much, even up to 6 mg I would think to be okay.
