Diaz + oxy question

Hi all,

Long time oxy user (25-40mg per night), have stopped gettin the desired results from it so started on Oxy/Diaz combo a few nights ago (posted findings in Trip Reports). that was untill I read the "do not mix" report.

Question: Ive had 50mg Diazepam (figured id just get to sleep and go back to endone tomoz), and am feeling virtuly nothing (1.5 hours later), and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be worth taking a small dose of endone at this point (25mg or so) just to get rid of the onset of WD's and get to sleep. Am i even going to get any effect from endone after the diazapam? any help would be great.

Why would the diazepam mean you don't feel the oxycodone? The opposite is usually the case, they potentiate the effects of the other, so you get more from smaller amounts..

If this is a combination you have tried before at similar doses (I see you mention trying it a few nights ago) and it was okay for you safety-wise then I don't see why not. If you haven't tried it with these doses, go steady - that's a small amount of oxycodone but quite a lot of diazepam, I know you have a tolerance but the cumulative effects are often greater than people think they will be. This is why we warn people about the combination

thanks for your help. Guess the diaz haz given me the opposite of what i was looking for and for some reason made me a little parronoid .
last time i tried th 2 was about the same dose but spred out over a longer period of time, so was just concerned about the hit in one go... thinking after this lot of diaz I might just go back to endone alone, better the devil I know appriciate the help effie.

dangerous? I can mix benzos with anything. I'm only speaking for myself though. for my valium makes opiates a little better. if i had both oxy & diaz id probably take 70mg diaz & 80mg oxycontin & i only sometimes take opiates/benzos
btw i know what u mean i take 50mg of valium & hardly feel a thing. i actually have to take 70mg of the stuff to get any kind of relaxation from em. & its still pretty subtle
I dont understand why they even bother making 2.5mg valium & endones. such low doses.

Keep in mind everyone is different

I know someone who took 0.5mg Ativan and was sedated as hell

First time I took Clonazepam... I had a damn natural tolerance to it already... proceeded to 3mg-4mg doses... rapidly to 6-10mg doses... even 20mg at an airport (which didn't even make me sleepy)

As for the dangers - mixing can be very dangerous. Just because one person has a high natural tolerance and can safely mix things, doesn't mean it is sensible to post on a harm reduction forum that it's safe, especially quoting doses that could be fatal for someone with a low tolerance - everyone differs, some people are more sensitive than others, and mixing any downers can potentially be really dangerous. It's pretty hard to OD on benzos alone, but throw opioids into the mix and it's suddenly pretty easy..
