Harm Reduction DHEA and its effect on Heroin/Benzo Withdrawal

I am wondering about opinions on DHEA for heroin withdrawal, or rather recovery. I have found this study which seems to document it, and am interested in its reception.

i would think that because the mesocorticolimbic system is right next to the pituitary gland, an opiate addicts' hormone levels to be screwed up which would mean they would be on an emotional roller-coaster ride.
