DHC no good for me

hi ya folks could i get some replys on this i takee 300 dihydrocodeine pluss 20 mg diazepam as a poternator.Ive been on the dhc for a couple of years now and up untill a few weeks ago. This would have surfice.But the last couple of months it just aint been doing the trick.Its even got to the point were im taking450 mgs of dihydrocodeiene and 20 diazepam but feel nothing!!!! any suggesstions please folkz?????

If you've been using it for years, it would seem that you've just built up a tolerance. Usually the best remedy for this is to take a break, potentiators and upping your dose will only get you so far.

Are you using it recreationally or for medical purposes? If the latter and you need to be on it for pain management, may be worth looking into stronger opis.

Definitely a tolerance issue.

That's quite a large dose of DHC to be taking everyday; Like nAON said it may be time to switch to a stronger opioid antagonist. (hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine etc...) As far as I know DHC is converted to morphine the body, a morphine based opiate may be the best option if you like it's pain management benefits. However, it may benefit you to look into something like hydro or oxycodone.

Your daily DHC dose should be about equivalent to:
~90mg morphine (oral)
~35mg oxycodone (oral)
~60mg hydrocodone (oral)
~15mg hydromorphone (oral)

Anybody disagree? Some of the charts seemed wacky with codeine conversions....

sorry nAON it started off as pain manegment but soon became recreational.The only thing folkz is i wouldnt know what would be the next opiate up in the pecking order so to speak.Here in the UK specificly England were limited to only a few opiate painkillers .
