I had a terrible experience recently after using "nasonex" a prescription nasal steroid. About 10 minutes after inhaling the prescribed dose I took my dex, as it kicked in my heart rate refused to subside but maintained between 100 and 140bpm for about 3 hours.
I was a little worried but tried to remain as relaxed as possible drinking plenty of water to help the amphetamines flush through. I didn't feel that a doctor would do anything disimilar except maybe iv fluids and if you're prescribed dex you don't want reactions like this possibly threatening your supply if it was intact the steroid.
So my question is could the steroid have caused this reaction? Google only returned studies linking amphetamines and steroids to a higher concentration of steroids in the system.
I should probably also mention that sudden anxiety that caused adrenaline production during this reaction made my head tingle and feel a little faint like I had really low blood pressure. All the side effects disappeared after a whopping 8-10 hours and I haven't had any similar reactions from dex after 9 months of prescribed use.
