Detox tomorrow..

Hey ppl so I've been using heroin for past year an a half Andi got into a detox program tomorrow and they use clonodine and ativan I adjust wondering has anyone else had this kind of detox before? My fist detox in Cleveland Ohio they used ultram I was just seeing if anyone went through this and if it was effective? I want to know so I don't walk out from being too damn sick thanks in advance

Clonidine works to suppress the adrenal spike that often accompanies withdrawal. Ativans obviously a benzo. I feel these medications will definitely provide some comfort to you. Hopefully soon more places will add gabapentin to their medications as I feel its the best medication out there for opiate withdrawal.

Sounds like you will go through a lot of pain but those meds should help. Best of luck.

Sounds like they are going to care of you. The good thing about no opiates in the taper is that it will be over sooner.
