Hello....I am new to this. If anyone can help please I am willing to take suggestions. I was prescribed Ultram 50mg tabs and I had 60 and went through about 20 a day then this went on for about a month until the dr told me he wouldn't give anymore. I thought the medication was not addicting until I ran out and could not function. I have no energy, I am having depression, all I do is sleep and cant do much of anything, I can't eat. Please share if you have experience with how to get this stuff out of my system. this is day two for me being off of them. I am drinking liquids and eating yogurt because that is all I can handle. I just started a new job so I cant take any time off so rehab is not an option for me. Please share anything you can to help.

Thank you!

Dude to be honest with ya I hear tramadol isn't that bad for withdrawals, meaning as in that as much discomfort you are in, you should only suffer these symptoms for a week, you will still have some symptoms but it will be very much more bearable for probably another couple of weeks. I may be talking bullshit btw it's just what i've heard, however I would suggest talking to your doctor and being upfront, I got prescribed diazepam and rapidly got that stopped after about 2 months, at which point I was put on a gradual detox program when I explained my plight to my doctor. Infact the only thing you can do is speak to your doctor, theres not many dealers that sell tramadol plus your just digging yourself and even bigger hole, go to your doctor and be up front, tbh I reckon he(your doctor) should have seen this coming.

You took 20 tramadols a day for month? (dont tell your doctor this) I would tell your/a doctor
that your addicted to Tramadol and need help tapering down. Or if you have a friend who could help...

Get some benzodiazepines, specifically a more potent long acting one like clonazepam. Some Immodium would help you out also. You shouldn't feel any worse as you are right now. Some have a hard time getting off Tramadol but from my experience it isn't half as bad as coming off something like oxycodone or heroin. But some people may say otherwise.

soundz like ur gonna have to tough it out for a few days i'm afraid... 20 times 50mg tram is a lot though... it might be worth considering methadone or buprenorphine taper, up to u

He's already at day 2 and his symptoms aren't so bad, sounds just like mental so far. He only has a few days left to go. Do you really think something like METHADONE or Suboxone would be necessary?? I don't think you need to mess around with those drugs.

I know that I used Tramadol for a while and up to almost 20 a day and withdrawal from that was PHYSICAL Hell, Weakness, sniffles, stomach Cramps, and horrible restless Leg syndrome, couldn't sleep a bit or stop moving my legs felt like every nerve in them wanted to move a different direction I literally wanted to stab myself to make it stop. at a Later time I started using Buprenorphine recreationally, for about 3 months I was snorting suboxone I got up to about 3 mg a day then I ran out and had no more connects, then I proceded to withdraw from suboxone for about a month and a half, but as bad as that was, it was a WALK IN THE PARK compared to the Tramadol withdrawal I went through. I wouldn't wish that WD on anybody

While withdrawl symptoms can happen with tramadol, it should be much more similar to withdrawls from SSRI's, and not opiates, although I guess there can be some overlap. Tramadol does not target opiod receptors, it works via action to serotonin and norepinephrine receptors. Sleep, G.I. and sensory disturbances, (sensation of electric shocks, etc.) and flu like symptoms are most common. They should not be in nearly the class as one experiences with opiates, but everybody's body is different.

FIRST of all, Oldkaw you are mistaken, Tramadols metabolite O desmethyl tramadol is an opiod that targets opiate receptors with 200 times the potency of it's parent drug, and it's an SNRI not an ssri, so yes depressica it's similar it's an SNRI. when you WD from Tramadol it's like withdrawing from BOTH types of medications at once

Yeah, your right bpayne. Let me state that differently. While it is a partial agonist at mu receptors, it blocks the other two. Its probably a good idea not to use if your taking ssri's.

Tramadol only binds to mu-opioid receptors, doesn't work with the other receptors. It is exclusive to the mu receptor. It also has other means of action. Serotonin release, inhibition. Noradrenaline reuptake inhibition. Fantastic drug from my experience. Both for pain relief and for the buzz.

Detox from tramadol can be extremely uncomfortable. You shouldn't stop suddenly. Start a tapering regime.

I only used it like 4 times I can probably switch it with codeine for back pain right?

Wow I can see how the pharmacy world got rich, codeine must be cheap as fuck to make.

It made me social and and pain free. Hooray for differences!

Codeine to me is more efficient, it is 'better' but its just easier to get Tramadol. I would have to take a lot of syrup to equal Tramadol, since I get it in cough preparations.

I strongly prefer tramadol, It makes me motivated and ready to do all the shit I've been putting off all week, Codeine just gives me a little buzz for about 20 minutes then makes me sleepy and lazy. I hate it.
