So, I am going to rehab for iv (MAINLY)H\But have been postponing it bc of some school work i got to hand in.

What happens in a detox?

How is one selected to go?


See I have to go to rehab court ordered soon. I am not physically addicted to opiate type any pills or other illegal substances, i do find that while first coming off of 8 constant years of hard drives dominated by cocaine, adderrall helped me stay awake so i could make the most out of my time, and 1mg xanax to help spleep.

This time, I feel more sober now than ever. propably meds shI should bring amatryptalin, wellbutrin, adderall, maybe ambien, and maybe a valium as needed

So if rehab has a bed for me and a stroll in looking fine, will i still b drug tested,
i really want help but if putting me alone for 3 days is only esy. ia GOTTTW TRINK THIS

most of what will happen and the " selection " will depend upon your UA results.

usually you give them all your belongings that you can't have, clothes, shoelaces, belt, etc. you get a set of pajamas. they'll show you your room you might have a roommate you might not. mostly everyone hangs out in the center room to watch TV or play cards. you'll have schedules counselling and psychiatric evaluations, along with meal eating schedules. and to curb your WDS they'll give you suboxone no doubt, no methadone imo they'll know you'll get high from it. the worst would be the xanax WDs. but they'll give you probably librium to ween you off any craving of any drug you have. it's used for alcohol WD treatment. one of the best benzos imo. anyway, if it's a four day detox this is how it goes down. but most four day detoxs especially for benzo wds don't ever turn out too good

^ Not every detox offers suboxone. I've been through 4 different detoxes / rehabs in 4 different states. In Mississippi, i was detoxed with a quick methadone taper. In Alabama, i was detoxed with a quick suboxone taper. In Vermont they only give you suboxone or methadone if you come in already prescribed to it, otherwise your screwed. In New Hampshire even if your prescribed suboxone or methadone they wont dispense it to you, its cold turkey all the way.

So, for opiate withdrawal, really it depends on what state your in. Some will give you methadone/suboxone tapers, some will just treat your symptoms with maalox and ibuprofen and stuff.

For benzo / alcohol withdrawal, every state will give you Librium. I had Librium 3 outta my 4 detoxes too. The detox in missisppi was the best, saved up my methadone and librium for 2 days then caught a serious nod. dont do that though, defeats the purpose lol.
