I smoke daily... haven't missed a day in some time, and haven't missed more than 2 weeks since I started, and not by choice. I'm down, though, from smoking all day every day from joints, bowls, bubblers and bongs to smoking my vaporizer in the evenings after work, probably twice between then and bed. I smoke more often on the weekends. My friends and I also have a smoke pretty much whenever we get together.
I also smoke while beginning to enter the peak of any psychedelic, currently about once weekly although I'll be cutting back the psychedelics for a bit to lose some tolerance that I've found that I've gained. And maybe once or twice on the comedown as well. I don't really smoke on the rare occasion that I do strong stimulants like coke or amphetamine anymore because I find that it takes away from the clarity of the high. I do, however, smoke on opiates.
Fortunately, I find that I experience very few negative effects when I do have to take a short break, and very few cravings as well. This didn't used to be true, but lately it's really stopped being at all the focus of my day, or even of the particular moment that I'm smoking it. I like it much better used in conjuction with other fun and interesting activities, rather than trying to use it as the sole activity. This has helped me to reduce my desire for it.
