First, I'd say taper off paroxetine/paxil. It is a bullshit drug with awful side effects and scary withdrawal symptoms, and doctors still barely understand how they work. (NOTE I'M NOT A DOCTOR AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION) Brain zaps and feelings of electricity being shot through your body during withdrawal from them lol??? No thanks, that side effect alone should scare people away from them, but it's not about the actual drug, it's about the brand and the marketing and how much money big pharma can make off another prescription that doesn't do shit or makes things worse lol.

Start exercising daily, eat healthy, and consider cognitive behavioural therapy. If you don't have many friends, spend time with your family. If you're family is reasonably cool (like not to strict), then it's a great way to at least communicate with other people that love you. Watch comedys with them. Laughter is great. I find the worst thing you can do when depressed is completely isolate yourself, like just laying in bed all day watching TV. No matter how shitty you feel on a day, try to go for a nice 30-45 minute walk every day. It works wonders for the mind and body.

I know making friends is hard, you just have to find other people that are similar in personality to you. There are lots of introverts and "artsy" people out there, I'm sure if you looked for people with common interests as you, even if it's drugs xd, that you will make some friends. Also, if you exercise daily, you may consider a gym membership and you can maybe meet a few new acquaintances / friends at the gym.

I get it though, social anxiety sucks and it makes building relationships very difficult.

but if i dont take paroxetine then dunno what to do take? ive been interviewed for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy...i tried to find 'my people' at uni, diffucult where i live atm. theres just no day to day want to be alive which i dull the intensity of with drugs.
