Delsym DM trip?

It works, slower. 4oz of one is about equivalent to 4oz of the other, Delsym a little stronger maybe, and much longer lastin. Some folks prefer it, I could go either way syrup seems easier to digest which is nice.

The thing about Delsym is that it's DXM Polisterix instead of DXM HBr. Which means it's extended release, the trip will take longer to kick in and will last longer. I don't have experience with Delsym so I'm not sure if the Polisterix even makes you trip at all.

I've done it. I tripped a lot on regular DXM. The Polisterix is boring. Boring and long. I can't remember tripping at all.

Oh yeah, I've been there as well, but only one time! I got the big bottle of Delsym, and it was supposed to be (I believe) a dose of 888mg or something along those lines. I absolutely hate cough syrup, or any medicinal syrup, I would much rather go for the pill form of any medicine any day. So, with this being said, I forced the Delsym down and waited... waited.. a couple of hours passed... also had a friend with me who had taken the same amount, weighed less though. They didn't even feel anything. By the end of the night it was just this overwhelming feeling of waiting for something to kick in. So I went to sleep (funny, because I can never go to sleep at a reasonable hour on regular DXM.)
OP, I would stick with the Robitussin DM. There are also a variety of off-brand syrups with DXM as the only active ingredient. IMO, the pills are better

Op, read the bottle or box. Make sure of the active ingredient. Also look around here for extraction tek's. All that syrup is nasty.
