Heroin "Degumming" black tar heroin

I've seen the term "degumming" used by the food industry, I think. I was wondering if this process could be employed as a simple refinement of black tar heroin.
 
Just invest in wheel filters if you don't understand the chemistry to answer this one yourself. Trust me not worth the time and money and I haven't a clue what degumming is.

Edit: now I do.... Probably would be pointless work. You're better off finding out a better hq source
