Need Help Definitive List of Comfort Meds for Opiate Detox/ log of fent detox.

I kicked a 7month daily opiate habit about a month ago.
Been switching between raw opium and oxy's at various doses etc.
At most i did almost a gram of opium or +200mg of Oxy's per day at most.
However I cycled doses so didnt take that much daily.
Did about 3weeks of tapering down before quitting.

Got a fat bag of Ketamine that i started using about 24h after my last opiate dose.
And it really helped alot to deal with the first days of heavy physical WD's.

Did about 10grams in 5days while mostly laying in my bed watching Netflix and doing my best to eat and drink enough.

Day 2-3 was rough but manageable since the Ket made it possible to just ignore how i felt.
I could even say i had a good time most of the process outside of physical sides.
A lot of people say ketamine helps, glad it made it do able for you! That's honestly the one drug I never did. I'm sure I could have found it but I guess I was just in different circles of people/addicts.

How you holding up a month in? Im at 13 days now and physically feeling further along then I normally would be, which is great. The insomnia is just starting now (haven't slept a minute in the last two nights) and emotionally im fucking all over the place. Idk if I mentioned it, but this detox was kicked off with breaking up with my GF (2+ years) and getting kicked out of "our" home. Technically, this is the first time dealing with this kind of stuff clean and it absolutely sucks lol.

Not bad at all tbh, took me about 2weeks before I felt ready to start training again in the gym etc.

Opiates were nvr my drug of choice so havent really had much if any of cravings.
Ive mostly used opiates as a way to be functional in periods and nvr really to nod out etc.

Tbh Ket is far more addictive for me in a psychological sense.
I dont do it daily or anything, but i have periods were i end up binging a few days here and there.

How MUCH sodium ascorbate should I take??
I’m by no means the authority on it, but most protocols I saw suggested 2g every two hours. Most brands sell sodium ascorbate in 2g doses so it’s easy to prep.

I’d mix up 3-4 doses mixed into some Gatorade or watered down juice along with 300-500mg agmatine and 2g creatine monohydrate per dose. I’d only add the agmatine and creatine to every 2-3 doses. Only add the creatine in when ready to drink bc it rapidly breaks down once mixed.

Thanks. I think I took like 10g lol. But will try taking a couple grams every couple hours.

I realized my measurements were off and that I was taking like 3-4g at a time... it massively kicked up the diarrhea which was awful. But at about 2g per dose it wasn't too bad.

In the worst of WD (day 2-4 for me), I was by no means hitting it every 2 hours.... I'd do my best but sometimes I'd end up drinking that "cocktail" like 4-5 hours apart. Not a big deal, but when I made sure to drink it more often (like close to every 2-3 hours) it really did make a big difference. Overall, it just lessened ALL WD symptoms significantly. Even with all the normal PRN scripted meds in place, the Vitamin C and black seed oil were the only variables in my med/supp list.

My evidence is obviously purely anecdotal.... but the last 2 detoxes I did that added these new supps made a definitive difference to me. I was using much stronger fent then ever before, and especially with the first detox (after a 4 year run) the detoxes were both so much easier. I was actually surprised the first time and scared that I was just taking longer till the full WD kicked in. But it just never did lol.

The best way I can describe it, was that instead of "minute by minute excruciating WD hell", I was Moreso just "uncomfortable and tired". I slept through the first few days and then by day 6, I was pretty much out of the woods. I ended up cutting my PRN dosing down- I realized those comfort meds were doing more harm then good by day 6- just making me fatigued. After cutting the dosing in half and continuing the regiment of OTC supps, things got better in a linear type of way.

Even now, Im at 16 days tomorrow and I'm physically feeling like 80-85% there. The insomnia ends up holding me back. But this time I went into this with a couple ambien. So, I take one after 2 sleepless nights. I don't want to take the ambien unless I ABSOLUTELY have to. I can deal with 1-2 sleepless nights, but anything more after that (consecutively) gets me all messed up mentally and emotionally. I got a couple hours last night with no meds other then:

1) Passionflower extract + BSO + Magnolia Bark Extract + Theanine
2) 4mg Tizanidine + 300mg Gabapentin

It really just blows my mind that for decades the Vitamin C megadosing was never talked about, or suggested medically. Its such an easy and cheap thing to add- and makes a world of difference.

Definitely makes me feel like that's all "Big Pharma" throwing money every which way in order to silence the vitamin C movement. Imagine.... getting through WD relatively easily by spending $25 on amazon.

If I had to just pick the absolute minimal meds/supps to get through WD, id pick:
-Clonidine
-Vitamin C + Agmatine + Black seed oil
-Imodium and Tylenol
-Gatorade and some whole foods

Of course, the full lineup would make things so much better, but I could definitely get through it with what I just mentioned and the "right and ready" mindset. GL!

Yeah, I only ever took that one dose (I didn't measure but like 10-12g) I had the most ridiculous diarrhoea, literally every 5-10mins. Like, I tried THREE TIMES to go out back and smoke a cigarette and failed because I couldn't go without pooping long enough to smoke a cigarette lol.

Apart from Vitamin C, I just have full-spectrum CBD and passionflower extract (and Gabapentin, but I take that all the time).

Same. I had my last Morphine on Saturday morning, and I keep expecting to be SUPER sick like usual...but still so far I just feel generally really uncomfortable and tired.

10-12g vitamin C in one go makes me want to run to the bathroom just hearing it lol. Gotta pair it with immodium lol.

It definitely doesn't save you outright, but its such a significant improvement that I can't believe it's not standard procedure in detoxes on top of the normal PRNs.
