Hello all!

I have a question which can hopefully be answered here.

I have a mixture of ~4 fluid oz 191 proof everclear with about 5 grams of finely grinded up weed in a container.

My question is.. Does the weed HAVE to be heated (for the THCA -> THC stuff) for the green dragon to be effective? or will the alcohol be enough to absorb(?) the THC?

It has been sitting for about 1 month now. I open the cap and agitate it daily.

Thanks for any help!

NOTE: Ive seen several conflicting recipies online :(

When I did it I left it in the bottle for two weeks and it worked fine with no heat. Although I did leave it in the hot (90 farenheit) sun for roughly eight hours.

^^ Interesting..

I've read somewhere about using a hair dryer on the container to heat it up a little bit works too..

Yeah, and shake it a lot, I believe that helps with absorption

well i would think any extra heat would be helpful in releasing the THC... n i dont see it doing any harm. just my .02 cents:)

I really was going to ask the exact same question ;)

heat's not needed, it just speeds up the process.

without any extra heat, 2 months of it sitting in a dark spot should be more than enough time for an as-complete-as-possible absorption.

though everything i've read before i first tried making green dragon was that you shouldn't open the bottle at all until you're ready to start drinking... but you'll find out soon enough if that ruined your drink or not. i doubt that it will.
