Decarb + isopropyl mistake

In a rushed and misguided attempt at making a tincture, I soaked some finely ground and decarboxylated plant matter in isopropyl alcohol and left it to sit in the freezer. It's still there after about four days. I'm aware that I did this in completely the wrong way.
My question is: is there anything that can be done with this goo? As I understand pretty much everything has been dissolved by the alcohol. Can this be strained, evaporated, and mixed with honey, for example? I'd prefer not to smoke it (if that's even an option at this point). To reiterate, the plants were decarboxylated (240 F for 30min) before the soak.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to find any information on decarbed material + isopropyl alcohol.
Thanks :)

You need to select a solvent that is going to take out what you want from the mass you produced. The coloring is chlorophyll among other plant fats or oils probably so if you find the right solvent you may be able to remove the target compound or maybe just he impurities you wish to remove. This is made more difficult by the fact you probably cant use normal butane as you will need to mix up the goo you created, if you had some kind of pressure vessel and stirrer you probably could use liquid butane but its going to evaporate too fast in SATP (standard ambient temperature and pressure)

I really dont know because i have never done it. If you look hard you may find the answers you seek, my guess it can be done but you are going to need to find the right solvent that will have the correct properties.

can't think of any solvent on top of my head that won't mix with the isopropyl alcohol. so I'd say strain it, wash the cake with some more iso (to get the remaining stuff out of it), then evaporate the solvent. you'll end up with some dark goo probably, because iso pulls too much unwanted stuff if you let it sit for too long. when the iso is gone, you could extract the goo with some hexane or similar stuff, strain it quickly and then evaporate again. if I'm correct, not all will dissolve in the hexane (nonpolar solvent) and the new extract will be more clean.

never made oil myself, but I study chemistry so I know some about solvents ;)

Thanks you all.
I'm aware isopropyl alcohol is toxic and I don't plan to consume it. Let me reframe the question:
If all the isopropyl is evaporated, will the remaining brown goo be safe to consume? And, since the material was decarboxylated before being dissolved for much, much too long, will the brown goo be psychoactive if eaten?

lol i missed the part that said he he hasnt evaporated it yet, honestly i would probably start there as it will create less mess if you arent prepared for separations, you can use normal zip lock bags that what i use when i have large separations to deal with. But i think if you dry it to a goo and selectively solvent out the bits you dont want, you can make it work with some effort and dedication.

Solvents evaporate cleanly if they are lab grade, all solvents i have bought from home improvement warehouses have been good quality. I was actually considering doing this for resin and roaches in my spare time as i have a lot of solvents and glass items to do this type of work in :)

Edit, yes i have made "full spectrum iso extract" and smoked it, its more like a pipe resin then anything else but its safe if you let it evaporate completely... its just kind of harsh and not good quality if its dark green. *more edit* people will probably chastise me for not purging it or something silly, did you know what that was in 2006 when i did this lol because i didnt know anything about that was just doing what i do.

Hey Felonious thanks I might do just that

No problem. You should be able to just evaporate the alcohol and then just mix the resulting cannabis oil into coconut oil and beeswax.

In the future, just use a drinkable alcohol (like 195 proof everclear) for your alcohol infusions.
Coconut oil (specifically fractionated MCT oil) also works well to make tinctures.

My friend once tried this with alcohol and evaporated down to a goo similar to what you have. We tried smoking it and please don't try it, it truly is disgusting and not worth it in the least bit. My advice would be to try capsulating it and try swallowing one capsule at a time. Resins made from ISO extracts that were evaporated are safe to consume.

Typically U.S. iso just has alcohol and water, have never seen any adulterants added to make it extra undrinkable, as it's often used topically and adding poison to it would be counterintuitive. That's not to say it couldn't be out there, but typically iso is considered safe to use for cannabis concentrates, eg. qwiso. Just make sure the only ingredients are isopropyl alcohol and water, and remember the higher the water content the longer it's going to take to dry completely.

Just because isopropyl is safe doesn't mean all RUBBING alcohol is though - don't use rubbing alcohol containing ETHYL alcohol for cannabis extractions, nor DENATURED alcohol (METHANOL), as those are most definitely poisonous.
