Death from Marijuana

Lethal dose

from wikipedia :

For oral consumption, the LD50 for rats is 1270 mg/kg and 730 mg/kg for males and females, respectively, equivalent to the THC in about a pound of 15% THC cannabis. Only with intravenous administration — an unheard of method of use — may such a level be even theoretically possible.

do does poeple exist , the "thc junkie"
squirrel monkeys dont count;)
hehe

Yeah, here's another link to the same story
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8122-970554,00.html

There are several case reports of people dying while high. Did cannabis cause it or contribute to the deaths? We'll never know. Most of them are cardiac related, and I wouldn't be surprisied that, if the the person had not used cannabis at that point in time, they would have survived until the next time there heart was put under stress [1, 2, 3, 4]

Any cardiac/respiratory/immunological problems are related to things other than THC (cardiac - slots dformed from smoking anything; respiratory - carbon monoxide from smoking anything; immunological - probably due to fungal spores or possibly pollen from male flowers).

If you're talking purely THC related, the only way cannabis is going to kill you diorectly (ie not through causing an RTA because you are too stoned to drive) is if someone were to drop a 2kg block of has from an aeroplane from 20,000 ft and it hit you in the head. As far as I'm aware, there isn't even an accurate guess of the human LD50 for THC (although with really high doses, death would most probably be preferable. I've seen someone that swallowed half an oz of has and he was immoble & totally twatted for 3 days)

...and Miss the Target ...
