Geospatial Inversion.
I'm looking for sleep/anxiety medication. Can anyone chime in how this should supposedly help me?
I don't think she was even listening when I repeatedly say I still have side-effects from atypical antipsychotics, I won't take SSRI's and neuroleptica.

And she gave me an antidepressant and typical antipsychotic.

Does it have any pharmacological basis concerning anxiety and insomnia?

Mirtazapine and Agomelatine are not SSRI's but promote sleep and also benefit many MI's.
OTC includes diphenhydramine and doxylamine
Don't get started on benzodiazepines or Ambien, Sonata Lunesta or any of those really strong sleep aids unless you really need to, they tend to not maintain their efficacy long-term anyway

Deanxit is a typical AP and a tricyclic AD combined into one med, i looked at the list of side effects, it is long and harsh.
Most likely if you didn't tolerate Atypical APs and SSRI's, this will not work for you. But it's up to your pdoc.
The meds i listed earlier are far more different than this is from what you've tried.

Ethumine (Made me drowsy, I can read books 1000p+ in one go, i'd forget what I was reading amidst sentences on this medication and my orgasms felt weak)
Depakine (valproic acid, wonderful, worked very well and looking at the pharmacological profile which is said to upregulate GABA it's no surprise... up untill the point my blood contained high levels of toxicitiy)
Dormonoct (loprazolam, hypnotic, didn't work)
Tranxene (chlorazepate/chlorazepam ^combining these two worked for both going to sleep, falling asleep, staying asleep and not having nightmares)
Risperidone (made me look like a zombie, didn't even want to have sex)
Quapedine (seroquel, slept all day)
Zolpidem (still takes 3hours before I fall asleep)
Bétablockers alike Propranolol. (tried for anxiety, it does nothing for anxiety, it does make one feel slightly serene)
Trazodon. (had brain zaps)

When I compare each pharmacological profile (with my limited knowledge) it's clear to me what works and what not.
I'm starting to feel doctors do not want to help me and i'm this close to deciding alcohol is the only viable remnant. (I don't drink)
And yes I have tried breathing techniques, quitting caffeine, meditation, heavy sporting, psychologists/psychiatrists, reading before sleep (i'd read untill 6am)
I simply cannot fall asleep and it makes me anxious throughout the whole day because I constantly hold in my breath... Just can't be healthy at all.

I'm sad my condition is attributed to mania and schizophrenia looking at the medications prescribed. I have a sleep condition but I guess it's all but a pathology.

I'm not looking to be on medication all the time but I do need something on hand when I have another attack or simply cannot fall asleep.

What country are you in? a lot of these aren't even approved in the US or UK...
Last time i checked there is no country called "Geospatial Inversion haha, unless it's an unregistered microstate

Motillium was OTC here for the longest of time so it doesn't surprise me you say that :P.

It's still odd since our health council is very stern.

Tetrazepam is another that recently got discontinued and a benzo not available outside of the country (a muscle relaxant, primarily)

1 in 13 kids in US are on psychiatric meds its crazy
I was on meds from age 9 till... like now, actually. besides a few 6 month breaks

Bump. I really could use some information, I don't take medicine without forethought.

I can't find any excerpts or access them through the conventional ways.

Flupentixol is a Typical anti-psychotic used for Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia or atleast that's what it's approved for in Canada. Melitracen is a Tricyclin anti-depressant. Combos like these where common years ago but not so common now. Unless you have Bipolar disorder or some sort of psychosis melitracen or some other Tricyclic like Amitriptyline or Trimipramine would be good enough to treat your insomnia and anxiety imo

I'm so tired of doctors prescribing me medications as if i'm bipolar. Yes, my mood sways when I don't sleep. No, I don't have bipolar. It doesn't mean I feel like **** that i'm not able to be polite to other people or let my mood affect my socialization.

The anxiety does though.

I can experience happiness and I can smile and laugh. The low serotonin hypothesis is out of the question. SSRI makes me suicidal. This is what they keep suggesting though.
I only took AP's for a shortwhile. They didn't help, made me fat, made my non-existant libido... even worse and since my biggest hobbies are reading and making music it just wasn't for me.
I might go for Bupropion since SSRI doesn't help but apparently that exacerbates sleeping problems. I have concern that I might have ADD since amphetamines/methylphenidate calm me. Sadly I don't think that gets prescribed much for adults and in the end it'd just be an excuse to get through the day. (I don't need stims, I need sleep)
I can't support the hypothesis I have an over-active dopamine receptor (tried and tested, countered all, does not help)

I will see to an appointment tommorow and ask for GABApentin. This will really be the last straw of keeping up against gatekeeping.
If i'm denied help once more i'm going back to chemistry.

If there are anymore medications revolving upregulation of GABA alike Valproic acid & GABApentin i'm all ears.

They don't prescribe benzos and if you ask for them you are a drugseeker.
I like researching medication before putting them in my body. I respect my doctors but in the end it's just a professional opinion.
