Stimulants Dealing with vasoconstriction. New symptoms...

I've used meth for a long time. I use far less than I did years ago. Nowadays a gram will last me weeks. Anyway the last time I used, I would say about 300 mg over 3 days my knees turned purple. It looked like fairly serious bruising. There was also slight color change to my ankles. I felt fine in every way. I still got a Dr. to check it out and told them what was causing it. They said it was fine as long as no other symptoms were present and to just let it go away. I did. The next day it was completely gone.

Now, several days later I took two doses about 75 mg each time 6 hours apart. They are slightly purpling again.

What is the best way to deal with vasoconstriction? I've never experienced this before in all the years I've used. Not sure why it's happening now. Again I feel perfectly fine otherwise.

I have tried searching out the answer on my own but I can't find any solid info on this.

If it is vasoconstriction then the simplest solution is to to for an energetic walk. That reduces it quickly. Deep tissue massage is also supposed to relieve it quite quickly.

Longer term a diet full of leafy greens helps.

The supplements l-arginine and l-citrulline may help but there’s not a huge amount of evidence.
 
I'll give it a shot. I do tend to just sit on my ass when I'm using. Lots of video games.

If not vasoconstriction what are the other possibilities? Obviously cardiac could be the issue but I've been checked with a holter monitor recently and I'm fine. My heart rate atm is around 130 which is normal for me on stims. I have a high rhr anyway. I just find it very strange I've never experienced the discoloration before and now it's happening with very little use.

It doesn't appear to be very common either. I found 1 or 2 other sources mentioning this. Very limited information on it. The only reason I'm not super concerned is because the MD wasn't.

I was doing a little digging for this and realized you didn’t state the ROA you were using when this happened, was it IV?
 
That used to be my ROA now I plug or eat. This time I plugged.

And yes I do sometimes watch porn on stims. Trying to stop that. I'm not into the crazy tweaker shit I used to be into. Now I like to dose sparingly and just chill. I've managed to avoid paranoia and horrible anxiety lately so somethings working.
 
Well, it has improved since this morning. I still would like to figure out why this is happening all of a sudden. I used to do stupid shots. I'm surprised I made it through those times. It doesn't seem right that I'm having this strange reaction at low spaced dosages. I don't get it. My underlying fear is that it's like long term cardio damage or something and is manifesting now that I'm quite a bit older than I was when I was last using. But this new stint has been ongoing about once a week for nights usually but sonetimes 3.
 
There are other explanations for dark knees. Does it correlate exactly with your meth taking?

I did a bit of reading on your behalf and the literature mentions knees trapping more dirt than other places, skin becoming harder and darkening over time from friction on clothing (or carpet 😜), particular sensitivity to temperature.

Google hyperpigmentation knees. It’s a thing.
 
This sounds to me a lot like high blood pressure and not solely vasoconstriction.

The last dozen or so times I've done meth I was also an alcoholic and had natural stage 2 hypertension (very high blood pressure) going into the meth doses, and meth shot me right up into stage 3.

Extremely dangerous high blood pressure.

I'm no doctor, but get your BP checked and keep BP in mind when using meth. High BP is also one of the contributors to limp meth dick.

Get it checked out. In general, I only take meth with a BP med like propranolol now, it helps with the side effects.
 
I will look into that. However it has only happened on these two occasions and it was when I was using. First time was last Sunday, gone by Monday. Dosed 3 times since about 1 pm yesterday and it has recurred. Not as bad but still here.

I actually take propanolol for anxiety issues. My BP is great. I have never had BP issues. I went and got it checked the first time this happened and it was slightly high like 127/94 or something but nothing that worried me. I know I'm healthy except for mental shit I deal with because I have horrible anxiety attacks at times and have had my heart checked too many times to count. This weird ass symptom just concerns me though. I thihnk mostly because I can't really find solid info on it.

propranolol is one of those drugs I have no apprehension about taking

it was also given to me when I had stage 2-3 hypertension to save my life

so yeah lol. I was prescribed it when I was 18 or so for social anxiety but never took it until I was an adult and had BP issues

ever since then I had to beg my dcotors for a script to propanolol................. even my GP... l hate most doctors I get

I'm amazed with how well it works. It's helped with meth anxiety too. I used to be prescribed heavy benzos. Won't do that anymore. I do know my cholesterol is horrible but that hasn't been checked since the last few months when I started using again. It's probably better now that I've lost some of the weight I needed to.

Yes it's quite the useful drug. I have mentioned it to quite a few people using meth and having sexual side effects.. it's quite good at fixing that.

That's sort of another weird thing about me. Meth only improves my sexual functions. Like multiple orgasms. It's insane. It has led to marathon jerk sessions though and I hate that.

When you start at like 7 pm and realize it's noon the next day...smelly sheets...I just can't do it anymore.
