DEA Rejects Yet Another Marijuana Rescheduling Petition

They have to keep drugs illegal to keep the prices high so organized crime can make their profit. Prohibition of drugs also helps the alcohol industry maintain its monopoly on legal highs. Also more prohibitions give the police easier access to your privacy. They can arrest anyone for almost anything.

My brother pointed out, very correctly, that marijuana is cheaper than marinol, the current schedule III drug, both to produce and obtain. So, the DEA, in connection with the FDA and a host of other initial agencies, is also protecting the profits of the pharmaceutical industry
 
Cannabis won't become descheduled, legalized, or decriminalized federally while the DEA can still ream bigger profits by keeping it illegal. There are a lot of organizations with a lot of money dedicated to keeping cannabis illegal because it threatens their industry, particularly energy and pharmacutical companies. Large distributers can also kick money to dirty cops for protection, and smaller guys are real easy pickings for DEA raids, and keeps their quotas filled without actually taking out someone threatening. People who distribute hard drugs are strapped, and most won't think twice about fireing back at a DEA agent. If you want pot legal, you need to get corperations with lots of money to back it. Better yet, if you sell, send a cut to NORML. If you buy, send some money every time you pick up a sack. Throwing money at the problem is the only way you get heard in the country.
 
I wish it becomes legal too someday witch it well be, It's just a matter of time.

The other day on CNN after a report about Michael Phelps smoking a bong Feb 2, 2009 ... a doctor was interviewed and said; it is not addictive, not a gate way drug and harmless, compared to the legally available Alcohol sold EVERY WHERE especially at Gas stations all over the USA witch is also a drug and extremely harmful to those who abuse it and those who die every year at the hands of those who drive drunk.

If pot where legal, it would be sold in stores and bring Billions a year in revenues and taken out of the hands of DRUG DEALERS who offer many other types of harmful drugs to kids and adults. Thats the real Gateway

I believe we learn how to get high when where children by watching our parents etc... who throw parties and serve alcohol etc... everyone is having fun ect... Kids pick up on this and associate this behavior with a good time.

Also there are certain people who do have additive personalities AKA Hyper Active Brian and blow it for the rest of us who don't have any problems at all with certain drugs.

But
The DEA is a business after all; and I'm sure there going to do everything in there power to keep drugs illegal to feed the prison system. This goes for the Drug Zar too its his job to keep scheduled drugs illegal.

Another question that arises is what gives on group of men (Politicians, lawmakers, judicial branches, law enforcement) the right to make rules, that bind other groups of men (The public) without the other groups consent (The public)?

I never consented to give the right of possession of my body, to the government, to do with what they wish, when they make up a rule I never consented to. Such as if my mommy and daddy (government) catch me smoking weed, they then have the right to send my body to prison?

I think we have to really examine what gives others the right to make rules that bind us, and why.

Many should investigate, as long as we are not infringing on the life, liberty, and happiness of another, where do governments which are supposed to represent us, get the power they allege they have?

As far as I am concerned, as frustrating as it all is. The DEA and the government PIRG's will have their time in the sun. Bleaching their bones, and probably mixing nutrient solutions for $6 an hr because their archaic prohibitory laws used to aid in their own bank accounts and psychological tactics to control the masses. Redemption.. Or is it Karma.

Anyway, the folks who grow... props to you - how patriotic! Plus with the market not dropping in it's need of cannabis, prices go up while cost stay the same. True capitalism. haha.
 
Revolution is what we need , marijuana laws are not the only bullshit the government keeps feeding us. Freedom my ass..... We're free to go to work pay taxes and sleep. For the people by the people my ass. Life , Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? all I gotta say is hahahahahahahahahahaha yea fuckin' right.

Unless it's calculating stimulus packages, corrupting free market, jerkin' off, stomping on liberties and citizen rights, and basically fucking us all in the ass. Our Government bodies aren't worth the paper a stamp is printed on. Unless you're fucking to lazy to get a job and be productive to society, then they pay for your food your housing and your kids (I don't mean those people that work hard every day and still can't make ends meet). Unfortunately everyone's comfortable with the way things are and won't rock the boat. Fuck we stole this country from the natives, I wish we had the balls to steal it back from the rich douchebags that run it now....
 
i dont understand the DEA. it seems like they do eveything in their power to keep drug prices high. or maybe thats just it.

USA Gov (small branch) is the worlds #1 dealer of hard drugs like cocaine & heroin. They make a killing putting it into the country & then another killing taking it out. Monopoly !
