ohio/canton for now/hopefully not for long
Were all walking down the streets of DC
thatS where you'll find me Oct. 26,2002
hoping Mr. Bush would look out and see
something
other than just another day here
just another group of ant-war fanatics
anxiously hoping he could glance right into
these two eyes and see more than that~
see a soul a represenitive of the fifty states
without greed lacking mindless hate
or dont I belong, does not the shoe fit?
maybee im not a true american yet
i have a longing, a need for peace
a dream for one ear to listen
and comprehend what killing is justifiable?
and with all the strength in my fragile arm
i raise a flag to hear
Mr. Bush , he isnt even home today
as nearly 100,000 of us parade with our hearts
on our lips screaming every word we have to give
While the newscasts , and the police stand back
amazed at this pre war urgent cry
no place for all this hate
this country
a land founded under God
once full of Love
mercy
what God are we under now?
OIL
the new most precious thing
oil for a life, and how many lives will be lost
for just a pint of that black gold,
tangable
while the majority bows to its feet
but is it alive, does it breath?
are you others just like the OIL
do your minds seep black with its refining drip?
stop and think why your against iraq
is sadams head the mission
or is oil the prisioner we
just want to take captive to plea?

i feel you, exactly... if i was anywhere near DC i would be protesting too, not much i can do in suburban kansas.
i'm there in spirit though, this stupid country just flies from war to war, and very few people are detached enough to realize that this war is a bad idea.
They took a survey at my school and about 80% said they'd support the war, but only if there were less than 500 casualties, fucking ignorance.
anyway, i agree and i'm glad someone is standing up for what they believe.
