Hey guys, today is my 47th day off of a year and a half long Opana Er 160mg per day habit. I basically went cold turkey and the first week was hell as many of you know. Looking back, in a way I'm glad I went through it because it was the nastiest withdrawal I've ever had and anytime i get a craving I just think of the suffering i went through and the cravings go away. I used to have a Percocet problem which I've withdrawn from and was nothing compared to Opana.
For anyone curious, the only things I used to help me during withdrawal was gabapentin and baclofen and used them for the first few weeks. They were a godsend! I had them leftover for a previous injury and they nearly took away all withdrawal symptoms and helped me sleep. I always took them in the evening when I was staying home because they knocked me out. Now I'm only taking them a couple times a week.
Fast forward and 47 days later here I am. Feeling much better than the first week and actually getting sleep now without the help of any sleep aids. The only issues that are lingering are anxiety and leg pain(not the jerking RLS but just a constant dull pain in my legs from pelvis to ankles). Anyone have any ideas as to how long they think I can expect this leg pain and anxiety that comes and goes (paws perhaps)? Thanks!
