Whats up guys? Im new here! Well ive decided to kick this habbit im on day 3 of withdrawals. They arent as bad as i thought they would be dont get me wrong they still suck. Like i said its day 3 and im thinking about just doing one i know its no good but the feeling is there.
Ive on and off for about a year now on perc 30's. Been going hard the last couple months or so. Between 4-7 30's a day to about 8-10 the last couple days before i decidied to stop. Basically just need support and motivation from people that have gone thru similiar situation and that know more on the subject. Also does the way you intake the drug deteremine the severity of the withdrawal? Thank you guys

You know already what the right answer to this is, but I'll say it anyway, in the spirit of somebody who has also said "just one" many times.

Will it set you back to day one? No. Will it potentially derail your recovery? Probably.

You're already on day three - you're almost out of the woods. It's up to you to decide when you are ready, and I don't know how many times you have detoxed, but I'll tell you, it gets old. Fast. I am a recovering heroin addict and I've really fucked my life up with the "just one" mentality.

I'm glad the withdrawal isn't too rough on you right now, but keep messing with opiates and the WDs will get worse as time goes on. You'll never go back to being opiate naive again, and the time it takes for you to get withdrawal symptoms after a run will shorten. Like, if you keep relapsing you'll only be able to use a few days in a row without getting WD's when you stop. It sucks.

No judgement here at all - like I said, I've been there plenty of times. But it's really best in the long run to just let yourself recover. It's so hard just to chip - I know very few people who can do it.

Opiate addiction is a long and tough road that has claimed stronger people than you and me. Try to be strong and tough it out.

That being said, if you hop back on the Percs, don't beat yourself up, but I would really think about it, because there is never "just one"

Best of luck to you in your detox!
:)

I'd say day 3 is typically the worse. Even if some of the symptoms aren't as bad as day 1, by this point you're starting to get mentally and physically exhausted. It'd be totally worth it to try to make it to day 4 at least. You're just about to get to the top of the mountain, don't give up!

Hey there. Man have I been where you are! You are already doing the best thing and that's reaching out for help. At my worst, I was snorting 10 80mg OC's a day and never thought I could get better. It's 5 years later and although I still take Buprinrophene, I'm better than I have ever been. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Don't give up, never surrender and all that.

Thank you guys so much for the support guys it honestly helps alot! I read your guys advice everyday. Although i did end up buying just one havent took it tho was very close to though. I ended up just flushing it, today is day 4 im hurting more physically than anything. I dont know if its from the withdrawals or my injuries i sustained while deployed. But emotionally and mentally im feeling great like my old self that alone is a great high for me!! Ima keep on keepin on though this is only the beginning!!! Once again thank you guys so much for the support and motivation

Wow, that took a lot to get rid of it--way to go! I'm really glad to hear that you are feeling like yourself again. That's where all the power to beat this is going to come from. Addiction divides you from yourself and plants a whole new voice in your brain that you come to identify with--but it is never your true self.Keep going and keep exploring everything you can to deal with the pain from your injuries (pain clinics, physical therapy, acupuncture, breathing techniques) so that you minimize it as much as possible.
