DASH has just done something revolutionary.
It may not appear as such on the surface but the implications to the scientific method are significant.
A few weeks ago, I put together a DASH Proposal to fund the premier Cannabinoid Research conference known as CannMed. For the last 2 years this was held at Harvard Medical School and has since out grown this venue and is moving to UCLA medical school for the 2018 California Legalization. More can be learned about this proposal at:
https://www.dashcentral.org/p/MedicinalGenomics

The thousands of DASH master nodes voted on funding CannMed 2018 and upgrading Kannapedia.net to a DASH blockchain in a matter of a few days.

A typical government grant proposal would have taken 3 months to write, 6 months to evaluate and if successful, delivered cash that requires one to build a new accounting system to fill out time sheets and government overhead. They only give them to University of Miss. for cannabis research and this distorts competition in scientific funding. The other challange with Cannabis research funding is that you usually need NIDA, DHHS, DEA and FDA to all sign off on it and organize an IRB while you are at it. Getting just one of these organizations to sign off can take years. Sue Sisley has spent 5 years attempting to get this done for PTSD veterans and once complete she was asked to use government made moldy cannabis with 5% THC. Centralized Science isn't scientific and DASH is creating opportunities to challenge the pursuit of truth with free market mechanisms.
