Okay, I have asked this before and never gotten a response so here goes again....
Is there any way to do a cold water extraction on darvocet? I have quite a few and before I knew what they were (APAP!!), I was popping them all the time. they provide a decent buzz, but I am worried about my liver! Anyone?

so one can be done? Kewl, is it just standard cold water extraction? Soak the pills and filter? Kewl, will try this tonight! Thanks!

I just wanna clarify this to make sure I don't fuck anything up, it is a standard cold water extraction? All I was planning on was crushing the pills, soaking them in cold water, filtering through a t-shirt, and putting the remaining powder in a gelcap!! Any ideas on the amount of loss or amount of time I should let the powder soak? Thanks in advance!

That brings me to my next question, how many is too many? I have taken 7 at once on 4 different occassions(before I knew anything about drugs), should I be worried about my health? Or is that not enough APAP to do anything? I know darv's are weak but I am relatively new to opiates so..... Thanks for all the help!

Dont worry, you would have to of been doing that every day for months and months before your liver would have been affeted by that much APAP.(however that doesnt mean you should continue).
BTW xxanxx, you said you were going to crush the pills, soak in water and then filter thru a t-shirt and put the remaining powder in a gelcap. But the remaing powder would be the APAP,the propoxyphene is soluble, meaning it will have dissolved in the water.

hehe, good call, thanks for pointing that out. I will try this tonight. Any thoughts on how many pills to use? I was thinking that since 7 is usually good, considering the loss, maybye 12 or 13. They are 100/650. Thanks..

Hepatoxicity enters the picture if you take a MASSIVE dose of APAP (say, as little as 7g) or when someone takes regular doses for prolonged periods of time (several years) - some people handle it better then others .. so if you're a light-weight (read: the type that would really enjoy Darvocet) then 400mg will have you looking mighty fine (well, as good as propoxyphene can have you feeling)..

yeah, phreex assumes but doesn't explain one very important aspect of APAP hepatoxicity: it doesn't always happen. in fact, it only happens when the enzyme that normally metabolizes APAP is overloaded and your liver has to use an alternate pathway instead.
btw, APAP becomes hepatotoxic when you deplete your stores of glutathione; you can take N-acetyl-cysteine (available in health food stores, i believe) to help ensure that you don't run out of glutathione.
