Lost within a sense of time and eternity
Drifting aimlessly throughout the shadow.
Holding onto the fragments of past identity
Seeking to make myself hallow.
Loneliness becomes my only companion
Through this dark night of the soul.
Depression; its twin brother
And despair the mother of them all.
Burdened with this deep sense of knowing
With hope as far away as the edge of space.
I fall to my knee's surrounded by eternal darkness
And cry out; God give me your grace!
Drifting aimlessly throughout the shadow.
Holding onto the fragments of past identity
Seeking to make myself hallow.
Loneliness becomes my only companion
Through this dark night of the soul.
Depression; its twin brother
And despair the mother of them all.
Burdened with this deep sense of knowing
With hope as far away as the edge of space.
I fall to my knee's surrounded by eternal darkness
And cry out; God give me your grace!

Re-reading through the poem actually brought more depth towards the surface then what i had initially noticed, and allowed me to further clarify some aspects of myself that were otherwise merely a murky puddle of thoughts and emotions.
