regarding the next blood draw, have her eat heating/moving foods/herbs, dress warmly, tell them to have a bucket of hot water ready, keep the limb way below her heart, have them trendelberg her if necessary, hang it off a bed, etc, soak, tourniquet, and draw.
I would highly suggest going somewhere else for the next labs. If she has enough circulation to keep limbs from becoming gangrenous, she has an accessible vein.
Dont have a nurse do it, they are more familiar with IV's and definitely dont have an MD go poking around looking for one, they are useless. Find a lab tech who has been at it for a long time and knows what they are doing. Advance searching for someone in an inner city facility might benefit her in the future."
