Dad needs help-Checking for LSD on blotter paper.

Just wondering if there is anyway you can tell if there is actually LSD on paper, Ive heard holding it up to a blacklight works but dont know if theres any truth to this, and if there is what am i suppose to see, I have found papers in my sons room,he claims there is nothing on it, i want to believe him but how can i check, I dont want to test this by using the drug or giving it to anyone. Please help me out.....P.S. if your wondering why the member name is nocross high school, i am on the family computer an found this site looking up drug information an what are the odds my son is already a member.. Please help me out!
 
Simple - tell him if it's fake then it has no psychoactive properties, for this reason, he could consume every hit and sufer no ill efects, with that.. make him eat every single hit and stand over him.. once complete, leave him to be for an hour, then come running into his room with a knife screaming... you can decide if it was real or not once you see his reaction...

This kinda sounds like a troll, but anywho....What does the paper look like? IS it stiffer construction type paper? Is it a big sheet, with the same graphic(s) repeated on it? Why would you suspect that it IS LSD? If you really are serious, send it to a testing lab...I'm sure with a little diligent online searching, you could find something of that nature to help you out. Or, take a few hits, and keep a needle loaded w/thorazine by your side...

If I were you I wouldn't be too troubled by the fact that he had blotter paper (with LSD in it most likely).
I would be much more concerned with the fact that he can't talk open with you, about what he have and what he doesn't have.
Im not saying you should encurage him to do drugs, but wouldn't you rather know why he did it, what he did and such? Than him doing it in secret from you?
Oh? you don't want him to do anything at all? Well what are the chances he can have drugs hidden that you will never find? and do them while you will never find out.
Sometimes im glad im not a parent - im sure I would prefer my kids to be honest... Even if I don't really want to know the truth.
About if your son have an account... Im sure you can figure out how to search for posts made by the login - there have been 20 so far. I would guess your son is 17 or 18 based on the one post I found.
 
There are only two real options in determining whether or not there is LSD present asides from taking Phreex's advice.
You can either turn it into the police so they can run it through their lab to determine the presence of drugs or you can sample some yourself.
Some people do buy sheets of blotter from places like Ebay. They're blank and have a collector novelty. Or it's possible that your son got ripped off or was going to rip someone else off.
Whatever the case may be, your son is a drug user. Non-drug users aren't so interested in drugs to have blank blotter laying around. So if there is really LSD on the blotter or not is really inconsequential really. Would it really change the punishment that much?
And face it, you're a bad parent anyways. Whatever you've been doing has been wrong because your kid ended up on drugs anyways. Yeah, you can say you want to intervene now. Maybe you can send your kid to rehab. It doesn't make a difference. The kid has a horrible father and is destined to live a mediocre life full of failure and trouble. Infact, he or she will probably end up living in an alley and die there all because of your inadequate ability to be a good parent. You put on this fake mask of concern to make yourself feel better. You aren't truly interested in helping your kid now if you haven't before, WHICH YOU HAVEN'T BECAUSE YOUR KID IS A WORTHLESS DRUGGY.
I'm sorry for ranting, but I'm pretty bitter right now because the OxyContin I injected a few hours ago is wearing off and since my own parents aren't around to blame, I need a scapegoat. You're all alike. Yuppies.
 
1.Extract a section of the blotter with a minimal amount of ethanol. (enough to leave you with a few drops of liquid)
2.Put a drop of the extraction on a 4-(dimethylamino)-benzaldehyde impregnated piece of filter (or chromatographical) paper.
3.Allow to dry.
4.Put one drop of concentrated hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid will work) on one side of the paper. A colored front should migrate over the paper
(concentrating the color).
5.A purple colored ring will appear (changing to blue 30-60 minutes later) if alfa or beta unsubstituted indoles are present (the whole paper will color if large
amounts are present). This purple / blue coloring signifies the presence of LSD.
 
While you're waiting for that reaction to take place, you can think about why you feel the need to invade your son's privacy, why the two of you can't talk, why you don't trust him, and what you're going to do to try and make this parental relationship into a good one that will benefit both of you.
(I'm not even coming off oxy. I'm just bitter in the first place.)

This is highly unrealistic.
Let's use the example of seatbelts. It's common knowledge that not wearing seatbelts can be extremely dangerous. You get in an accident and you stand a good chance of getting seriously injured or being flung from the windshield or dying where if you had simply been wearing a seatbelt you wouldn't be in any serious danger. If I'm a parent and I know my KID is not wearing a seatbelt, am I just going to stand by and watch and have conversations about it and continue to let my KID do as they wish?
In the same respect, drugs are often dangerous and have a remarkable ability to impair ones judgement and thinking and sometimes even their lives in general. If my KID tells me he/she is using drugs, do you really think I as a PARENT am going to pat them on the fucking back and not do anything about it?
Yeah, communication is great. It'd be nice if things worked that way. But think about it from a realistic standpoint.

you could do what my parents would do. lie to him and tell him that you had it tested and it came back positive. you should be able to judge by his reaction as to whether or not it was real.
 
its not that complicated.. this is simply an instance of a bad father, in fact, I suspect the entire family unit has failed - mom probably needed to escape so she is all hopped up on goofballs, dad comes home and kills a 6-pack of the old Heini' and god knows what else goes on.. shit, are you upset because he is using drugs .. he is, no teenager would have dry blotter paper, if he has more then 10 hits he is most likely dealing too! Hell, since he is most likely making a fair amount of money I would suspect a wide range of drugs - he may be expairmenting with crystal meth, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and all those other durgs... actually thats most likely incorect - with a failed family he probably blew past "expairmentation" before he had his first homosexual experience (if he is taking acid he probably goes to raves and uses ecstasy too, both of which tend to make you gay) ..
Just let him have his acid.. tell him you trust him and you will take his word for it being just paper, you might be able to salvage some part of the relationship...

Assuming that PhreeX is right about the dealing thing (which he probably is), then the kid's also getting laid anytime he wants it (one of the major perks of retail), and between that and sharing needles with his other junkie friends, he's already contracted HIV and has only a few years to live.
You want him to stay off acid? Simple, just tell him what a friend told me:
Man, it's like, uh, once you take, like, uh, so many hits of acid, you, uh, you get like, uh, a tolerance, man, and then you have to take, like, more to, like, trip, and that's, uh, just stupid, 'cause it, like, uh, fries your brain, man.
LSD lost its luster after that encounter. Thank goodness for shrooms and cocaine.

i've been busted for drugs by my folks and i know that this kid is probably going though hell right now.
PLEASE don't make it too hard on him. i'm sorry that it sounds like i'm begging or pleading but i've been in EXACTLY the same type of situation.
but to ease your worries, if your son has an account on here than he knows about what he's using, and he cares a LOT more than a street druggie. another thing, this is up to u, but u can check for cookies to a site called erowid.com . if your son's been there then he should know tons about what he's doing.
and to ease your fears a bit more about acid. it only takes between 70-120 MICROgrams to experience the effects and most of the chemical leaves within 2 days with no advese after effects.
i've been in this situation so if u want to talk to another drug using kid, feel free to email me.
 
No, punish him for getting caught! How else will he survive as a drug dealer if he can't hide tabs of blotter acid from his parents - that's like the easiest drug to conceal.
You should definately ground him for a month, no bitches, no weed, no, cris, no bling, and ABSOLUTELY no use of the platinum humvee. That'll learn 'em.
