A Gloucester County man accused of giving marijuana to his 14-year-old son as a birthday present was indicted this week by a grand jury, authorities said.

Albert Fuller Sr., 39, of Williamstown, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Officials at Delsea Regional High School called police March 11 after they caught the boy with a small amount of marijuana. The boy told police he had received it as a gift that morning from his father, said Bernie Weisenfeld, spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor's office.

During a search of Fuller's home, police found eight small bags of methamphetamine. Fuller, free on $2,500 bail, faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, Weisenfeld said.

When I was a little younger I remember this stuff happening all the time with my friends. I'd say at least half of my friends had parents who smoked, and a lot of them would get high with their kids or give them weed on special occasions.

if parents are getting their 14 year old child drunk i'd have a problem with that too. Maybe a drink with dinner once in a while would be cool but if they are getting "drunk" then thats not cool

yes 14 and even younger year olds drink and smoke, but as a parent you need to promote some kind of responsibility. I mean his kid got busted by the school authorities with the weed, so it's not like he was smoking with the kid in the safety of their own house, which even then I would not consider especially responsible at the age of 14. 16/17 maybe but even then from a legal standpoint it's not very wise of the parent.

I smoked pot with my father starting around the age of 15. My parents had me when they were 16, a bit immature, and oh yeah, my father was a dead head, and formerly pretty large dealer of drugs I was at a Gratefull Dead concert when I was 2, so maybe I got a contact high then

The funny thing is my dad still smokes pot everyday, but I don't partake anymore. My grandfather would still be toking if he didn't have emphasima(sp), and yes, I have smoked with my father and grandfather at the same time. Three generations, enjoying a wonderful herb!

I really don't see anything wrong with it.. My father didn't start me smoking, I smoked well before he found out. Different set of morals, i suppose.. My father never gave me weed for any type of holiday, though, that cheap ass hippy...

my parents werent that cool. but my best friend hiswhole family smokes. i went with his family on vacation couple months ago and were sitting in the hotel and his mom comes in while he is trying to roll a joint and i about died from the fact his mom saw didnt care and after he light it up she took a couple hits of it. then again were much older 22 and not 14.
