Hey everyone,

I'm on vyvanse 40-60mg a day and my doc recently scripted me 30 mg cymbalta.

Today was my third day on it and besides a little nausea, sedation and waking up in the middle of night it seems to have improved my mood and lowered my anxiety.

My suicidal thoughts are also down as well. I'm just concerned because I here coming off this drug is horrific and its worse the longer you stay on it.

Anyone have any input on this matter?

I have been on 30-60mg Cymbalta for about 8 years. I am bipolar. (I also take 200mg lamotrotgine daily as a mood stabilizer, at the low end of the spectrum). I don't dare try life without it. I have tried literally every other anti-depressant and Cymbalta is the bee's knees for me. By the way I'm on Adderall XR 30-60 mg/day.

It took me a while to realize it, but if the Cymbalta works, keep taking it. Extra cost/hassle worth avoiding devastating pitfalls.

My $.02

I came off Cymbalta without any trouble. But after two years I starting having horrific side effects (nonstop menstruation)

SO quitting Cymbalta once I found out that was what was causing my problem was not an issue. Don't worry about getting off of it if you need to later on.

For now, if it works, don't fix it. Dig?

It's stabilized my moods pretty good and no the WDs from it aren't nothing like Effexor or some other anti-D's it's not much to worry bout been on it for three years now.
